The worst hairdresser I’ve ever been to! If I could give it a 0 I would. Staff were incredibly unfriendly. The lady who was suppose to do my hair balayage + haircut took one look at me and stated my hair was “different” and said she didn’t think she would be able to do anything for me today. She then decided to do a strand tester “just in case” and actually chopped quite a chunk of my hair out as I have little short hairs in one section now from this. She came back and confirmed she definitely could not do anything as the ends of my hair “weren’t that strong”… I said that’s okay I would like a haircut to get the ends chopped off so it’s healthier, however she still refused. She advised me to come back in 6 - 8 weeks and tried to sell me $100 worth of shampoo before I left in order to “fix my hair and hopefully next time I come in it will be okay”. It was such a waste of time and honestly it just seemed like she couldn’t be bothered to do my hair and pretended it was because of the condition of it, even though I haven’t had my hair dyed for almost 2 years. Also another thing I noticed is every other person that came in for a service got offered a complimentary drink of water/coffee or a refreshment and was greeted with a smile and friendly attitude. I felt very discriminated against in this Salon. I would highly suggest if you are POC do not attend this hairdresser salon! They made me feel so uncomfortable. Why promote on your website and socials that you can dye brunette hair, different hair colours and different textures etc but actually can’t? Thankfully I went to another hairdresser salon not Stefan the very next day and they were more than happy to do my hair. The ladies there were super friendly and the hairdresser who did my hair actually stated my hair was very strong and in good condition, therefore she was able to completely transform my hair and give me a beautiful balayage and only had to cut off a small amount from the ends. She did such a great job and I was so happy with the results and overall service Stefan you need to train your hairdressers better. If they aren’t capable of doing someone’s hair just say it, don’t project it onto people like myself and claim that it’s bc of the texture and colour and claim that my hair is the problem when it’s not it’s your undertrained & unfriendly hairdressers.

My high expectations for a self indulgent experience were quickly reduced as I was informed my online quote was more than twice $300 below what was required. Then after hours waiting for my lightening to process and being put under the heat lamp and the hair dryer, the stylist and her manager determine it as the best that can be achieved. My hair had no perm dye or issues. They then didn't 'specialise in' the toning colour I wanted and basically left me with a purple shampoo toning as the final result. Very far from the rose gold hair I wanted. I'll have to fix this myself. A waste of my money. I couldn't even order a coffee for my 5hr wait because they don't offer milk alternatives.

Stefan hairdressers at Carindale have been my trusted salon for the past few years. Customer service is always great, they make sure you’re comfortable when styling your hair and offer beverages. I personally get my hair done by the manager, Sara, whereby, she takes very good care of my hair and ensures that she offers nothing but the best advice on how to take care of my hair and what products to use in order to maintain healthy and non frizzy hair. She also takes her time to perfect my hair when colouring and styling, to make sure that it looks flawless. When I book at a specific time, I am taken in straight away and don’t have to wait around for someone to start my hair. Got another fantastic service. Amazing as always. Extremely supportive staff. They always make it happen. Denise has been my go to stylist for a while now and I absolutely love her. Both Denise and Daniel did a superb job giving me my transformation.

I booked my appointment few days ago… when I went to my appointment the hairdresser refused to do the service I wanted, then when I asked for a simple hair color and hair cut instead, my stylist said that she gave my appointment to someone else and asked me to come back in an hour with a long face… worst service I ever had… never ever going back there
