Story

Having stood at 54 Fitzroy Street since 1915 and known fondly as “The Saint”, St. HOTEL has grown to become one of St Kilda’s favourite places to meet with friends, celebrate, dine, and relax. When renovated in 2015, we took a new direction but kept what is best - a strong connection to St Kilda and its people.

Our big, beautiful venue is a place for St Kilda locals, people from around Melbourne, and visitors from afar to meet and enjoy what makes our fine city so liveable; delicious and satisfying food, boutique craft beers, refreshing cocktails and delicious wines.

From Thursday to Sunday - our venue hosts a range of live music and DJs, ranging from our resident live, RnB music experience each Thursday Night, Classic 90's on Fridays, Electronic and Dance on Saturday Nights, and an unmatched Sunday Sessions party atmosphere from 2pm Sunday.

Always wanted to visit and thought it looked good from the outside. I was not disappointed with the inside decor with high ceilings and exposed beams and brickwork, however that’s was the end of it. The choices of spirits is very limited, the service was great because we were too early for the young crowd. Will try again however we will need to pick the right night.
Sundays of Summer Fiesta at St Hotel are amazing. Cheap drinks, amazing environment, Free Salsa & Bachata Classes, Live Bands and Latin Food. I love it!!!
I was in the upstairs rooms for a party. The facilities were okay, the bar service was prompt and efficient, the upstairs staff were friendly. The balcony is nice as well. The front door staff seemed a touch aloof but that's okay, I didn't really find it a problem. The security guard also gave us some $20 drink cards, which was a nice gesture. The drinks downstairs seemed a little expensive though. Overall, I was satisfied with the facilities that I used here.
Really great atmosphere and service. I stopped by because I had time to kill before dinner up the road. The bartender was great. Conversational and recommended me a great beer on my vague preferences. I'm not in this neighbourhood often so it's nice to know this is here for when I come back.
Spent a evening attending an engagement on a very not day with a broken air con. No attempt to bring in fans or something to make guests comfortable. Cannot fault staff. They were great. Finger food was great too.
We held our Post Wedding Drinks here and the GM Chris did not abide by the contract agreement. In fact he approached two older family members during the event and got them to place more money on the bar tab without us knowing. We had requested house wine and beer on the tab until it ran out out and then people were to purchase their own drinks.. but he operated it as an open bar and kept the bar tab running which was not in our contract. He got an extra $1500 out of a family member whom he told we owed an extra $500 on top of what we had already paid ??!! and that he would shut the bar down if more money wasn't placed on the bar tab. Chris put on one staff member for 200 people !!. No roaming canapes as requested, all placed out at the beginning meaning people missed out throughout the night. When we found out about this after the wedding and questioned him asking for an itemized invoice he called us "f*****g ungrateful". We have now requested this invoice twice to which both requests have been ignored. Don't deal with the St Hotel if you are running an event. Unprofessional and dodgy. So disappointed in the service.Will never step foot in this establishment again.There are plenty of other establishments that would offer much more honest service and who will abide by your contract without calling you expletive names when you question why they deviated from the agreement. Bottom line do not bother with the St Hotel and do not deal with Chris.
I'll be honest, when I saw the menu, I was disappointed with the selection of food...then I realised what they were all about - great cuts of meat, cooked to perfection! And wow, do they deliver! Hands down, best lamb I've ever had in my life. So tender, so perfectly cooked. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. A simple menu, but beautifully cooked meat, you will not be disappointed. Highly recommend. Great beer and wine selection too
Nice staff. Not good value for money. The prawn dish on the large share plate menu is $20 and you receive 1.5 prawns cut in half into 6 pieces for this. Price does not reflect quality and portion size. Disappointed in the food. Lovely looking venue but you can get better food elsewhere.
Fabulously renovated pub! Gorgeous beer garden and restaurant with an outside inside feel. The food was a little average, great for a light snack but serving burnt toast was a little rich. Great spot for arvo drinks and I loved the hanging garden.
