When notified that you are someone's support person, the staff still demand you leave and wait outside, and demand you wear a mask. Even after you state you have a mask exemption provided by 3 different doctors, with 2 being in the local area, 1 being from St Mary's hospital! After pointing out to staff that they can not ask a stated support person to leave, they turned to my partner, and agressively and dismissively put her on the spot, stating they could not / would not see her with me there. When notified they legally can not ask a support person to leave, several other staff rushed over to back up the nurse who ordered me to leave. Am contacting the Premiers office, and the Minister for Healths office, and am considering other options and avenues to take this up! 0/5
Earlier this year I had the opportunity to be placed as a student at St Helens District hospital to gain experience working in regional health. My experience of the facility was very positive as the staff were professional and competent to a high degree while providing effective and empathetic care to patients. The staff I was partnered with were invested in my learning and were always happy to answer my questions. The staff at St Helens District hospital helped me broaden my understanding of nursing in a rural setting and I am very grateful to have been given the opportunity to learn there. I have been a patient in St Helens for many day procedures over the last 6 months, requiring Intravenous medication. Each visit the Nurses, Doctors, and anxillary staff were excellent. They were professional, kind and always ready with a smile. The meds I have are not a pleasant experience and the attending staff are truely first class. Attended the saint helens hospital emergency part, couldn't be any happier with the service of the nurse and doctor that we got for the care of our daughter, just brilliant care and information that they gave us there so thank u so much
My elderly mother confronted to this brand new hospital with pretty serious symptoms and was turned away, telling her to make a doctors appointment!!! NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!!

Poor attitude to clients money before care. I would not recommend to my worst enemy.
