Sprout is a locally owned and operated food store specialising in CERTIFIED ORGANIC FOOD (fresh produce, whole foods, dairy, meat (chicken, beef, lamb, pork, turkey, duck), groceries, bread, etc) and special diet foods such as GLUTEN FREE, DAIRY FREE. We also stock a comprehensive range of diet supplements, personal care and homecare products, and educational books and DVDs. Sprout also sources local produce to complement our Certified Organic fruit and vegetables.

Sprout also caters to the gourmet in you, with specialty ingredients as well as ready to eat treats - all carefully selected to brighten your eating experience without adding unwanted nasties.

Really good spot for alternate foods. It can be a little pricey. Membership is available. Fresh food as well as packaged. There are also kitchen items, books, suppliments etc. Be sure to check it out if you enjoy our need particular good items.

I have been shopping at Sprout for years. At first I only bought a few specialized items, and now I do two trips a week and fill a box each time. I realized there is false economy in buying vegetables at the mainstream supermarkets. In season, organic fruit and veg is reasonably priced, and we are much healthier. I like supporting local growers and small business. The staff are helpful and interesting to talk to. Sprout loyalty program is the only one I am in, and I have traded points for steel pegs, bento boxes, infuses and essential oils... Cookwear next! Try Sprout Grocers for yourself, you may surprised.

Always good to find many local and Australian made products. Great rewards system where you get points toward certain products. Currently buying the "Wrought Iron cook ware" made in Oz"...

Excellent organic grocery store. It has a wide selection of food and drinks as well as cookware. We mainly go to Sprout Grocers for Birch Xyltol as we can't find it any where else. As with all organic grocery stores the prices are higher than regular grocers but we like the quality and selection.

Unbelievable if you are a vegan. Your one stop shop for all things vegan. I will always shop there as my way of life is easy to maintain without reading every small ingredient in everything you buy to make sure there are no animal products hidden in the food. Fantastic for the vegetarian and everyday shopper as well. You will find items not found anywhere else in Townsville. Drop by. I am very impressed!!!

Absolutely love this store! They have everything organic that you need. They have so many conscious healthy food options that are free from nasties and we even found chocolate, cleaning products, soaps and more that was palm oil free, which made us very happy! They have some of the highest quality  supplements available. AND we found a whole lot of alternatives to plastic, including dish washing scrubs which are made from plants. Thanks so much for stocking such a fantastic range of conscious products. We struggled in Melbourne to find anywhere similar - couldn’t be happier to have found you. Legends!!

Love the store, low stock levels, bit pricey but great staff & big...so even with low stock there's lots to offer

If you are looking to go to an organic shop that knows what they are talking about and actually practice what they preach, come here.  They leave you alone to shop and help you when you are in need of assistance and best of all they stock a lot of essential Ketogenic Diet Items. I could spend hours here and did, going through all the plant based options and interesting alternative items. loved the variety and prices are appropriate for the products worth!

I love sprout, pretty much has everything you could want...sometimes I love to just browse at all the fascinating things they stock for the healthy minded. Also has some nice kitchenware and treat yourself yummies.
