It's a decently stocked store. It's nit big but easy to get lost, and not always easy to find what you're looking for. However, I recommend the sales, prices are very good, I got 10 threads for $10 instead of paying $40+
After placing my click and collect order, I waited three and a half hours for the confirmation notification. Because I received no updates, I attempted to call the store. I had to ring three separate times and spent a total of 40 minutes waiting on hold, only for no one to ever assist me.nnFrustrated by the complete lack of communication, I drove to the store myself. Upon arrival, I walked into the aisles, located the item on the shelf, and retrieved it myself.nnWhen I finally went to the counter, the young man who served me was very apologetic. He explicitly stated that the store was heavily understaffed, which explained the chaos. While I appreciate his honesty and manners, severe understaffing is a management failure that ruins the customer experience.nnThe purpose of using Click & Collect is convenience, which your store completely failed to provide. I wasted my time and ended up doing the work myself.
Spotlight is criminally understaffed — not just at Melrose Park, but across locations in SA.nnI genuinely feel for the staff who have to absorb customer frustration when management refuse to roster enough workers. Today there were 12 customers lined up for 1 checkout staff member. On top of that, the checkout process becomes even slower because all customer questions end up being directed to the counter due to there being no staff on the floor.nnTo be clear, this is not a reflection on the workers who showed up and did their best. They were very friendly. This is a top-down management issue, and honestly, it’s not good enough.
