This is a fantastic store. Everything we need can be found here. The fruit & veg are A1 and we even found pastry in a roll rather than buying pre sized sheets. HIGHLY recommend a visit here. We are happy shoppers.
Thank you very much to Kellie in Deli at Castle Plaza!! Saved the day & our 50th birthday party celebration!! On Saturday 14th January at 08.30am I realised the online Feed Me order ref #10286 which I had placed for over $500 of platters to be delivered between 08.00 and 10.00 ready to feed 28 people at my wife 50th birthday party in a beautiful winery near McLaren Vale at 12pm that day, was not going to be delivered! Because, when placing the order online, I had placed the wrong delivery date. At that time when I was on the phone and found that out, I could feel myself melting inside, turning to a messy stressed goo with tears forming in my eyes, knowing I had just ruined my wife special occasion and let down our guests, family, friends! However, KELLIE was amazing – rather than say sorry we can’t help at such short notice, she said “Well lets see what we “can do”! … she said “give me 10 minutes to see which platters from my order she can put together, which substitutes she can provide. Well, the end result was she had a great range of high-quality delicious food well presented on platters, individually boxed and ready for collection at 11.00am. Kellie then called me to reconfirm the food was ready. Our function was a huge success, and our guests made many comments about the delicious high quality food and how great the platters looked. That was the best customer service and problem-solving skills I have received for a long time. Well done, Kellie, thank you so much. Also like to thank Chelsea in the Feed Me office who on the day helped to coordinate with Kellie and myself, to amend my order, adjust payment & make it a smooth transition. Also thank you to any team members who helped Kellie on the day. I will definitely be ordering from the Feed Me Menu at Drakes again and shopping at Drakes ongoing, as I am sure will our friends and family.
Well presented, clean, wide product selection, great supporter of local produce.
The 2nd best drakes super market in Adelaide after golden grove Drake's, some great childhood friends of mine have worked there and I love to see them time to time. I with they had more jolt soft drink flavors like years ago but it's only cola these days. I often get my Lenard's chicken products from the deli here and they are always delicious. Barossa fine foods pizzas are awesome but are a bit expensive, definitely a luxury food compared to dominos. The rump steaks can be a bit on the lower quality side but they are under $15 kg when on special, much cheaper and still better than Aldi. The roasted chickens are some of the best I've ever had. Their selection of pre made salads and pastas is my favorite in Adelaide. Even though I prefer the golden grove Drake's I go to the castle plaza drakes far more often because I like the shopping center there more. 1 bus from home compared to 2, either way it takes an hour each way but it's definitely worth it for my jolt cola and rump steak fixes.
Great to see Drakes supporting a fabulous South Australian brand, and my favourite yoghurt! Even though I am a little bias!
A nice shop with good and friendly staff but the prices are not so good
Good service, products and competitive pricing. Only caveat is parking at Castle Plaza which can get busy

I shopped here for the first time yesterday after a presentation from the Drake family. I was most impressed but huge range and many gluten-free options. Lots of local produce and Independant brands that are disappearing from Coles shelves where I used to shop. Comparable pricing and specials, Friendly staff and less than one minute wait at checkout
