We visited this chocolate shop and attended the short factory tour. No photos are allowed during the tour but it was interesting to learn about chocolate production and see staff making chocolates by machine and by hand. They were generous with samples during the tour. The shop is well stocked with a large variety of chocolates and also sells seconds, less than perfect chocs, at discounted prices. We enjoyed our visit here.
I prefer visiting this Haigh's Chocolate old factory / visitor centre to buy Haigh's chocolates. This site has over 100 years history for manufacturing Haigh's chocolate, until scaling down since 2018 after Mile End Haigh's factory was in operation. This store is modern, probably has gone through some significant renovations in the recent couple of years, which is spacious, with more stocks and more choices compared with other Haigh's stores.nnYou can book a factory tour for free if you are keen to know more about the hundred years history of Haigh's Chocolate and how their chocolates were made. I believe reading their history online prior to visiting this visitor centre and then just do a self-guided tour would be good enough.nnFor me, simply because many Aussies told me that Haigh's Chocolate is the best in Australia when I lived in Sydney or were working in Melbourne. Nowadays I am living in Adelaide, here is the home of Haigh's Chocolates, so I always buy Haigh's Chocolates from their stores to enjoy.nnToday I bought a lot of Haigh's Chocolates as souvenirs before returning home. I reckon Haigh's Chocolates are the best souvenirs representing not just Adelaide / South Australia, but also one of the best soveniors among the whole Australia.
Found some absolutely delightful chocolates here on our first visit to SA. Now it's a must go to every time we come down to Adelaide. I get some beautiful, and delicious gift packs as well for family and friends.
Visited Haigh’s Chocolate Factory on Greenhill Road, Adelaide, and absolutely loved the experience! The guided tour was about 30 minutes – informative, well-paced, and gave a great insight into how their chocolates are made. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and clearly passionate about what they do. The best part, of course, was sampling their delicious chocolates at the end – so rich and high quality. A must-visit spot in Adelaide for chocolate lovers!
Fulfilling a childhood dream of visiting a chocolate factory! Well behind glass on a viewing deck away, with a couple samples. No songs or kids being turned into blueberries. It was a no photo zone.n.n Being the factory they also have outlet packs of chocolates, priced around $20. It's a huge shop, compared to the city stores, a stop not destination near the CBD.n.n Haigh's Chocolate Factory Toursn@haighschocolatesn Parkside, Adelaide south of the gridn There's parking and a bus nearbynEntry is free
