I'm blown away by the exceptional customer service at Spotlight Albert Park, particularly in the party department! The young staff member I interacted with was an absolute star - cheerful, helpful, and still beaming with a beautiful smile despite a long day. The store offers an impressive range of art and craft supplies, as well as a vast selection of kitchen appliances and utensils. I've recently furnished my bedroom with new bedding, pillows, and a quilt from Spotlight, and I'm thrilled to be enjoying the best sleep ever! The quality of products and service has won me over - I'm hooked on shopping at Spotlight!
What a dump. I loath coming to this place, it's always a messy, crowded and filthy tip. Absolutely no care goes in to managing this store. It's always hard to find staff to assist, it's narrow and overflowing with stock, forcing you to climb over things to get to what you want, OH&S hazards galore. Only reason I gave a 2nd star is because they had what I needed.
Prices seemed very high and service was not good. I had a voucher I had been sent for joining the VIP club and he lied to me saying I had to spend $50 on one item but it was $50 on the full transaction. The voucher they sent had a bad link so wasn't working. I showed him the email and that the link wasn't working. He was absolutely no help at all. In the end he gave me the discount because he was the only one serving and people were lined up waiting for him. Lots of items aren't marked with prices so you have to go to the price checker to see how much it is. Plus it is confusing to have a VIP price, we should all just get the VIP price since it is free to join anyway. Seems ridiculous. People were lined up at the price checker since there aren't many in the store. It did not work very well and only worked on items you could fit into the thin space, so to find out the price you have to go all the way to the front to ask. Really badly designed. Don't think I will be going back again.
A good variety of art and craft products to choose from.nLots of kitchen appliances and utensils as well.nI bought 12 jars which I use to preserve chutneys and jam.nA busy store.
Good stock. The staff were helpful overall, helped me to find what I needed. Prices are pretty much the same as most craft stores. My only issue is that I've been shopping here for years and everytime I've been, the checkout line has been extremely long and they've only had one person running the registers. With the amound of money that this place surely makes, I'm sure they can afford to hire more workers to run the registers.
