Bad service and poor business management.nGenerally this store is quite expensive, dirty lots of dust on everything and it is a bit messy, but sometimes they have some sales.nInitially, when I stepped into the shop I received a good service by a sale representative and he promised matching of the special Speedo Sale prices. Although the range was limited but I knew what I wanted to buy. I wanted to purchase Speedo swimming goggles. Speedo has significant sales discount at the moment. I could order everything online but delivery will take time and I needed those googles today.nThe cashier was initially happy to match the Speedo Sale price as was promised by the sale representative but then she hesitated and applied to her manager for assistance.nThe manager was quite rude and suggested not to match the price but to reduce the price by a few dollars. I started to argue and appeal to his consciousness. It was not fair but the manager asked his cashier to forget me and go do something else and clearly advised me to leave if I am not happy.nI could probably give up but I rejected his price offer in principle and that was the right decision.nI called Rebel and they told me that they are matching prices 100%. On my arrival to Rebel Southland I got excellent service, much better sales advise and service and immediate match of the Speedo sales prices with no fuss and no hesitation.nThe range of goods at Rebel is also much better than at Sportsmart.nConclusion: Comparing to Sportsmart Moorabbin, Rebel Southland is much better place for purchase of your sport goods.
The customer service at this store has been very disappointing. Even after several visits, I've noticed a significant decline in their service standards. We spent nearly a thousand dollars replacing our cricket kit and needed clear advice before making our purchase, but the staff offered minimal help. When I went to pick up the bat after it was prepared, the representative was rude and just told me to read the document when I asked for care instructions. Additionally, though they charged an extra $60 for the service, it seemed that the bat preparation wasn't done properly—the bat's surface was scratched and unfinished.
Mixed experience, the girl was fantastic in recommending the correct runners for my child but the boy firstly overcharged me, then when he refunded me and charged again he couldn’t match the ticket price 20% and could only do 19%.
Initially we received really friendly, helpful service about a tennis racket but at the check out the price tag on the racket we chose didn't match the price in the system. We were made to feel that we were trying to do something dodgy in wanting to pay the printed price. The check out staff were disinterested, bordering on rude.
Very disappointing. We go through the process of explaining the type of shoe needed for the foot type Brooks, only to then be told there’s no stock. This has happened several times now. May I suggest that staff inform customers upfront about availability, so our time is not wasted?
