Organised chaos! I'm here to catch a V-line replacement coach. There are about 3 regional train services out this week, so there is a lot of queuing for buses. Staff have been very helpful in directing me and other customers to the correct coach bay. The overhead departure board must be overloaded as it is not in use. For those in a wheelchair, I asked customer service, there is either wheelchair accessible buses, or a taxi will be provided depending upon your destination.
Great station if travelling metropolitan. Bad luck if you want to drop off or pick up passengers for Regional Victoria. Typical Government not caring about Regional Victoria
Located directly behind Hungry Jack's within the Southern Cross Station complex, this coach terminal includes the SkyBus express bus service that provides transfers to and from both Melbourne and Avalon airports, as well as the Firefly and Greyhound interstate coaches, the V/Line regional coaches and Melbourne's Night Coach services. It's a fairly large and well organised terminal with good facilities including waiting lounges, drink and snack vending machines, payphones, descent size storage lockers, and is a only a few steps away from the Southern Cross Station luggage hall, Travellers Aid, toilets, as well 7 Eleven and Hungry Jack's stores and a host of other cafe/coffee outlets.
