Hump day means you’re probably already thinking about brunch day. ‍‍ We tried out # South on Collins # at Hobart and we found it to be a brunch that offers great quality food, with service to match. Food – first visit but not last a value place. the team were excellent with their knowledge of the menu and attention to detail. I tried their egg Benedict, it tasted very delicious and will definitely come back again.
Absolutely recommend to everyone . Friendly service and tasty food. Sourdough bread is awesome, Crispy and soft. Definitely will come back again.
The best Cafe in Hobart! The soft shell crab and pudding are so delicious, it’s really worth to try!
It was nice, they had a special $9.90 for a coffee and a bacon & egg roll on a brioche bun.
Artisan food? I think you guys need to have a good look at yourselves. Today I ordered the 'soup & garlic bread' to takeaway. Firstly if you are going to say that you provide artisan food, then don't serve up canned food. Then the food came out, on a plate & I had to remind them it was takeaway. I literally work 20 metres away & when I opened my container of soup it was cold, and the garlic bread was 2 slices of toast with a tiny bit of garlic butter spread on it. Whilst waiting a gentleman arrived to pick up his Caesar salad which he had pre-ordered & paid for. When he arrived, he opened his box to find a Garden Salad. Guys, you are in the heart of the CBD, with many other options around.

Great coffee, excellent service and perfect poached eggs 99 times out of 100. Only complaint is that since Ian South retired they don't have bacon to go with the eggs. When I'm hospitalised I dream of the poached eggs with baby spinach I could be having for breakfast if I wasn't captive. They also make an excellent hamburger either with, or without the bun. Unlike most hamburgers, they never repeat on me.
WOW! Best chicken, avocado and camembert toastie ever. Asked if I could remove cranberries and add avo instead - no issues. Staff were pleasant.
Beautiful People Amazing food and atmosphere. Go taste the food, I am amazed at this tiny cage tucked away in a small alley way. Honestly taste the food. Your taste buds will never be the same
