Coffee is delicious and their pies are worth every cent. They're open 24/7. I'm unsure if there is wheelchair access. There are toilets available for customers in the adjoining building. Great customer service and the interior/layout is very well thought out for the space.
Gourmet pies and hipster coffee. A really great spot for a heavier breakfast or snack. The beef pies were wonderful. Flavoursome beef, gravy and flaky pastry. A great batch brew coffee to boot. They had Market Lane and St. Ali beans from Melbourne. Heaps of sauces and water on tap.
I'm not an expert but the coffee seems to be really good here. I often come here when my usual place which is closer to me isn't open usually early on Sunday. It's not advertised but It doesn't seem to be open at all on public holidays though... I would be more inclined to eat there if they just added soup and did pie floaters. I don't think the pies are enough by themselves to constitute a meal which is what I would like... Wouldn't have to be with pea soup, I've heard about of places doing it with pumpkin soup... Also unfortunately there is no bathroom was looking forward to going here one Sunday but did not for this reason.
Some of the best coffee in Hobart - competitive prices, always a nice variety of single origins to try, and the guy that works there is always happy to have a chat about what beans they have available. Haven't tried the pies personally, but have heard good things about those too!
It was undoubtedly the best quality pie I’ve ever had in my life! Not exaggerating.
On 3 out of 4 occasions in the past two weeks, there have been 0 pies in stock. After these several wasted trips, I think I'll give up on this place. It's getting more and more like the monty python cheese shop sketch. Note: Banjos in Moonah is open from about 3 or 4am because the bakers get in early. Great toasties, pies, sausages rolls and coffee are always available. They have never not had what I wanted in stock.
OMG the Mac and cheese pie was so good! One of the best pies I’ve had travelling Australia. Stumbled across this place and saw heaps of people inside so gave it a go, did not regret it.
I am in Hobart for a few days and found this great little coffee joint. Great coffee, chocolate croissant, brilliant tunes playing, clean and funky shop. Highly recommended.
This is an absolute "must visit" in Hobart. In its new digs on Murray St Pigrims is iconic to locals. The real attraction of Pilgrims is that locals know its always open 24 hours, which means no matter what time of day you can always get a coffee, and a lovely pastry. I finished the morning dishwashing shift at the Xmas 2019 homeless lunch and knowing that nothing else was open, knew that I had Pilgrims. Because of its hours Pilgrims is the go-to for all the cities emergency workers, so its often full of police, ambo's and firies. It has a great urban feel to it. The staff are all your classic urban millennial's and that makes it all the more edgy. Oh, and the apple pies are to die for. You must go.
Great coffee, pies and donuts! Owner is great and takes care of his customers. Would definitely recommend this establishment.
