We have stayed here many times and initially the central location was the main draw card. Over time we have come to appreciate the extra space in the rooms and the facilities available. The staff are always efficient and pleasant and we will continue to returnRooms: 5/5
We requested a bed for my 3 year old son, 2 months in advanced when I made the booking. I have written confirmation that one would be provided for him. No one told me it would be subject to availability. So when we arrived late afternoon to go into our room and find that we did not have one we were quite annoyed. The reception staff were great and tried to do what they would but ultimately we had to sleep 3 people in 1 bed for the night. We were offer a $50 refund for the inconvenience which was not good enough. Eventually the hotel agreed to $100. If I was told from the start the trundle bed would be subject to availability I would of canceled the booking and found somewhere that definitely could have accommodated this. Also the heater/cooler was broken in our room and was stuck on quite a high tempt, which then resulted in a room change from the 10th floor to the 4th next to the gym and pool so could hear people in the gym at 10.00PM at night. We were incredibly frustrated with this hotel and will not be staying again.
Really bad service apartment. The AC doesn’t work. The amenities are old. The hotel is really outdated and seems never been refreshed. The only savior is their staff who try to help run this zero star place and location. Was staying for 5 nights and have issues from first night with broken TV, then AC didn’t work. I have to sleep in 37 degrees hot room. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY TO BOOK THIS PLACE.
Excellent location. Check-in took a bit of time and we couldn't get our room until 3PM. Room was very tired and old but functional. It had kitchenette, gas stove, dishwash, washer &dryer which were convenient given we were family. We did not receive any housekeeping service until the last day we stayed 5 days. Front desk staff tried their best to alleviate this by giving us some fresh towels and bin liners- so it felt more like Airbnb more than a hotel or serviced apartment. Bathroom was very cold during our stay as there were no heaters in the bathroom. Would stay again based on the location and the functionality of room.
A week before our booking date I tried to call reception to clarify a few details, and the lady kept hanging up on me. A total of 16 times. She was rude and unprofessional. We were unable to cancel after this so stuck it out. The rooms are dirty and dated. There was dirty rust inside the kettle and when I called and asked for another one, the second one brought up was no better.
The receptionists were okay, they seemed a little over their job and not really wanting to be there, and that attitude sort of carried through in their service. The room was a good size for a couple, however, their shower was a little inconvenient with their taps being a little fidgety, when wanting to set the temperature. The pool was nice, however, there was no visible light switch for when the darker hours were coming about. The pool settings were not exactly self explanatory, making it difficult to adjust to what you wanted it to be. The location was fantastic, essentially in the centre of the city, and such easy access to so many things which made it great! Overall, a good experience and would go again for a short trip.
Location is perfect- hotel is good - staff are great. Cleaning staff were working 200% to make things happen, but were overwhelmed . They were very short staffed due to covid. Beds are comfortable, room is clean, water pressure good and hot. Random plates , cups pots and pans in room - I would check what the room had before assuming you can bake a full roast dinner or breakfast. We didn’t have a car , but from what I heard parking can be tricky after 10pm or early morning as it’s in a different building We are booked to stay again
Great cbd accommodation. The customer service was excellent. Our 2 bedroom apartment on the 10th floor was perfect for us. Great views! Comfortable beds and lounge furniture Easy transport from Southern Cross Station via free trams Some fixtures in kitchen a bit worn, but that did not impact our stay at all
Good location however there is a lot that needs to be updated in this hotel, you will notice the rooms itself has an aged feel to it, the hairdryer was so old & battered, kettle was rusty & tv was tiny. Honestly think the floors shouldn’t be made of carpet if it is a pet friendly property. If you have allergies to animals this is definitely a place you should stay at. Only plus was that it did have a washer/dryer combo which might come in handy if you decide to stay here longer than 1-2 nights.
The studio apartment was well equipped with a comfortable king size bed, a generous living room, a small kitchen, and a washer and dryer. The staff was really helpful and friendly too. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay there!
