This was a solid place to stay. Great location with good coffee just up the street. I was able to check in early which I was super excited about, and my room was clean & straightforward, nothing exceptional. The pool on the top floor is nice, but super small. The general areas could use a little upkeep and modernization, but it was definitely a good value and I would consider staying again.
Stayed here over the weekend, just the one night. Rooms were pleasant, however I'm sure the A/C & Heating just didn't work. The water pressure wasn't great in the shower. However, the beds were comfy and overall the room was good. Upon arrival the bloke on customer service was ELITE. Check out though, that lady needs a bit more respect. Breakfast bang average, and waited 20+ minutes for a basic hot chocolate. I had nearly finished my food and ready to go back to my room... regardless it was decent.
A great place to stay on city visits close to a lot of attractions lots in walking distance. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly, cleaning staff very helpful. Happy hour was a plus and buffet breakfast was beautiful. The only let down was the lobby was freezing so to the mezzanine floor where the bar is so couldn't sit there to enjoy our drinks, the bar was warmer. I will definitely be back and recommend to my family and friends.
We enjoyed our stay here. Very clean, beds were very comfortable. Housekeeping were so polite and happy to help us. Buffet breakfast looked fantastic and great price as well. Parking was also easy to access and find. Will definitely be coming back here!Rooms: 4/5
This was one of the best hotels we've stayed at in Melbourne. Guest service is top notch, the roomwe got a king size was spacious, bed was super comfortable, loved having the black out curtains and the hotel its self has a lot of character. Quite surprised on how quiet it was as well! Bar and restaurant were lovely and the Location cannot be beat Only con would be the pool size as its only waist height, however due to this hotel being like almost 100+years makes sense and its nice to sit in and cool off. Definitely will go back next time in Melbourne
Staff were super helpful, friendly and solved an Agoda problem. Room was quiet and well fitted out. Fresh smell of paint in the hotel shows they are keeping it up to date. Staff are super friendly and excellent. Location is terrific. Quiet at night. Close to everything. Highly recommend. Rooms: Good size and well appointed. Nearby activities: In the center of city close to tram stops and everything you could want. Walkability: Excellent location
Great location. Bathroom was a good size with large shower. The room was a great size for one. The blockout window shades were welcome. The bed was super comfortable. Highlight would be the lovely ladies who serviced my room, a big thank you to them who did a great job every day with a smile, lovely and friendly, an asset to this hotel. The other highlight were the receptionists, 2 guys in particular who assisted me with my meals they know what they did. Really just a bunch of great guys who looked to enjoy their job and make tourists enjoy their stay, again an asset to this hotel. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and look forward to staying here again. I stayed for 11 wonderful nights. Thank you all for such a wonderful stay, definitely deserve more than 5 stars.
The stunning location was the most wonderful thing about this hotel. The lobby is lovely, rooms very simple, and staff hard-working. Definitely an older building, though the bathroom and shower was modern enough. The bar has happy hour. Would have loved to see some any free weights in the gym. Unless you use a treadmill, it’s not very useable.
Good hotel, in great location with super friendly team. We had two rooms, one with two single beds and one with queen bed. Both rooms were clean and comfortable, with nicely renovated shower. There is a good buffet breakfast available daily at reasonable cost. The hotel is a walking distance from the trams and 10 minutes walk to the train station. The team have made our stay exceptional. We have arrived way before the standard check-in time, and still the team was able to accommodate us immediately and give us two comfortable rooms earlier than expected.
The room was really small and we felt clostraphobic. However it was really clean and the bed was really really comfortable. Breakfast was really delicious! The staff were lovely. The price was great. We would definitely go back, as long as we could have a windows view next time.Rooms: 4/5
