The bar staff were amazing and friendly. However we were constantly pressured to buy food. The waiter (a girl who could hardly smile at us) came and asked us to order food 6 times within the first hour of arriving. We were looking to relax and enjoy a drink not be badgered constantly about food. We did eventually order food which was very good, except they then tried to charge us twice for some of the dishes.

We held our 2018 Conference in New Plymouth last week and a 60 strong group of us enjoyed an evening of food and beverages at The Snug Lounge. The food was really really good and plentiful. Also definitely worth a mention was the great service - as one of the organisers, I was kept informed all evening as to how many platters were to come and how the bar tab was progressing. Would highly recommend to others. Thanks for a great night. Paula - FDANZ

We reserved a table and thought we'd be sitting inside. But it so busy on a Friday night we ended up sitting on bar chairs in the very busy shared catering area. The music was blaring but we could still chat. The waiters and waitresses were very attentive and service was good. We didn't wait long for our order. The crisply fried shrimps and crab were delicious. My favourite was the broccoli and kumara balls. We eventually got a table inside and we ordered dumplings. They were rather salty for our taste but the rest of our food was yum. We both loved the atmosphere of the place especially once we were inside.

Delicious menu and excellent service. I come to Snug Lounge every time I come to New Plymouth. Heartily trcommended.
