I can't recommend Smith & Elliott Real Estate enough - I would give them more than 5 stars if I could. Like everyone else looking to sell a property I did my due diligence - every recommendation I had was to engage S&E and I am glad I did. Kara James provided exceptional services from the moment I met her - nothing was too hard and the advice she provided me ended up with a sale above the asking price. Kara was constantly in contact with me to give advice and provide updates. I am convinced I would not have achieved a better outcome with anyone else. Highly recommend.
I can’t recommend Smith and Elliott Real Estate enough. After having to make an unexpected move for work I had to rent out my own fully furnished apartment and was very hesitant to do so. Donna and the team have been excellent in taking care of my property and ensuring I get the right tenants. Nothing is too much trouble and they have gone beyond my expectations. Highly recommend.
Throughout our stay in the 12 months it was really good. We had no issues with Smith and Elliot. It was not until we were moving out that everything just went downhill. Because bond cleaners were so busy with bookings at the time we were looking to vacate, we had to go for a last minute company BCIC Cleaners who had not don’t an acceptable job. Sue Nolan’s exact words were “It is absolutely filthy, it looks like they have not even cleaned”. After going back in to review this clean, it may not have been clean enough to lick the floor but it had definitely been cleaned. She then requested for them to come back and clean which they were unable to due to a family emergency. From here she contacted Jewels Cleaning to do an emergency clean, we were contact by Jewels after not knowing that Sue had done this. Sue then proceeded to not know anything about contacting them even after providing text proof. She advised that because we were the ones to contact them that we would be liable for the cost of the second clean. The second clean was redone completely, not the list of what Sue had provided. They then proceeded to apply for the entire bond due to this as well as trying to claim that a mattress with a slump on one side wear and tear was meant to be covered. To be so young and have to deal with this as a first rental experience has thrown me off completely and applying for houses and leaving has now scarred me. If you are going to go through Smith and Elliot, I advise to seek someone other than Sue who was not sympathetic at all during this process and was making herself seem like the victim with how myself and my flat mate were responding.
If I could give more stars I would! From the moment Donna greeted my family and I, I knew we were in good hands. She was patient in listening to our story, provided us with advice and genuine care and her communication was outstanding. Having just moved to Townsville we feel so very lucky to have crossed paths. For anyone looking for an agent, Donna is your woman. We can’t Thankyou enough Donna, I would absolutely recommend you and your services with any chance given.
Athena from Smith & Elliott Real Estate is probably one of the most kind and helpful property manager my partner and I have ever had. She always returns our calls and assists us with any questions, issues or concerns we may have. She has on multiple occasions gone above and beyond to ensure we, as renters are well informed and taken care of. All the ladies I have spoken to at smith & Elliott are always kind, helpful and never make me or my partner feel like an inconvenience. Maintenance is always managed quickly and any concerns is never met with any pushback. I am still with smith and Elliott and I can say I don’t think I could recommend them higher.

Donna Lloyd is fabulous. She is the only rental agent who has bothered to contact us and communicate with us, we have a limited time to find a property and really appreciate her willingness to communicate
Bad communication with the staff, just made the whole exiting of the house so much worse than it had to be. They need to be opened on a weekend even just on Saturday in the morning so people like my partner and I who work Monday to Friday 8-6 can go in and not take time off and lose hours and work. Just had a very bad experience with Smith and Elliot and will never go back to rent with them again or buy from them again. To be honest I would even trust them with my dog house.
The very best real estate company in Townsville, Donna is amazing and goes above and beyond for her clients. As a new resident to Townsville finding it difficult to find suitable, executive, pet friendly options was challenging. Donna was relentless and so professional in her approach to helping me find and secure long term options, she is friendly, client focussed and caring in her delivery of service. Donna is the the most responsive real estate I have had the pleasure to work with - and get to know, and she is a true credit to her profession! well done Donna and team!
