We ordered the fish of the day and the seafood chowder.n1. Seafood chowder - good amount of seafood and the Cobb loaf was good. But the sauce was lacking a lot of flavour and for $40+ we expected better.n2. Fish and chips - The fish was ok but the batter tasted like it was cooked in old oil. The salad looked and tasted like one of the Asian salad mix packets you get from Woolworths.nUltimately, it was too expensive for the experience received, in my opinion.nThe service was slow from my experience and it didn’t look very busy. Another table had to walk up to the bar to order as they were waiting for a bit too long. Maybe understaffed or they were having a bad day?nGreat atmosphere though.
Great view of the ocean, nice music with good food, what can you ask for more?nHad the clam chowder it was excellent with loads of sea food. Wife had a great pumpkin ravioli. Kids pizza was soso.nService was quick and positive. Price is on the higher end but this is a beach restaurant so it's expected.nWould come again.
What more can one ask for than window seats at a beachfront restaurant. What a beautiful view. Food wasn’t too bad either.nJust a short lunch stop at Warrnambool on my way to Adelaide.nGood place to stretch the tired legs after a 5 hour trip from eastern suburbs of Melbourne.nnFood is a bit costly but worth the view!!!
Came for small lunch as going out for dinner. We opted for 3 entrees. They were superb, each was an absolute taste sensation and beautifully presented. First photo, the dumplings, we had already had two before I took the photo. Second, the spring rolls, the same, I had eaten more than half. Finally the beautiful tacos I remembered to take a photo before we ate them!nnHad a glass of wine each also. Beautiful spot to eat looking over the gorgeous coastline.nnWill be back for sure when in Warrnambool!
The atmosphere was great, no doubt about it. However, I would rate the service only 4 stars. I was expecting my chowder to be served in a bowl instead of a bread bowl, and I wasn't asked about my preference. The food was okay, but the calamari was disappointing; it felt like the loneliest calamari we've ever had, as it had more breading than actual calamari. This restaurant is ruining Australia's reputation when it comes to chowder and calamari!
