Zambrero Warrnambool

Food was yummy albeit overpriced. Service was shocking. Made to order 2 items at once which was confusing and the girl serving me implied it was my fault that it was all getting confusing when I want to order bowl and burrito separately to start with! Service window was very dirty with food everywhere. I understand some times are busier than others but when there’s 4 staff members and 1 customer, take the time to clean up and serve people properly.

The young fellow who served me was lovely, courteous and incredibly helpful when I ordered a gluten free tortilla. I was offered separate utensils to avoid gluten cross contamination which was great. However, the food itself was not very fresh and the chicken tasted like curry which was extremely baffling given that this is a Mexican establishment. Amazing to see mexican in Warrnambool, what is even more funny is seeing 2 of them. Well, this one was the one to be at. The food and staff were great. Clean - plenty of options and happy to mix them into your meal of choice. The drink selection was excellent and the toilet facilities were clean. Very happy we choose here for dinner. We will return next time we are in town.

Unlike subway, when they offer extra food it’ll just keep increasing the price. I’m sure it’s not meant to be, but it comes across as deceptive. Food was nice.

I have been to many Zambrero’s and have never had a bad experience. However, it was my first time at the Warrnambool branch. I felt sick from the extremely rude and disrespectful service. The staff member serving me laughed at me - she couldn’t ‘understand’ what I was saying and made fun of me, even-though i was speaking in English and have an Australian accent. After insulting me, the staff member kept on staring at me - up and down and giving me dirty looks felt like she had never seen a person of colour before. I have never experienced such rude and disrespectful behaviour and it made me feel sooo uncomfortable. Management you should consider training your staff in the very basics or customer service 101.

Its a good thing the food is delicious, even if they didn't have pork available. Bain-marie was in a disgusting state as you can see in the photos alot worse in person rice and beans all over the containers which made it look filthy. Also incredibly poor service from the female who served us but the male delivery driver was very happy to talk to the customers he was serving with a happy attitude.

Maybe our local Zambrero is the exception but this one did not match up at all. Overcooked rice, small servings, average taste. Overall disappointing.Food: 2/5

Came here as it was recommended during our online search. The staff member that served us does not seem to be bothered with her job. She speaks without volume and quickly just so that she can quickly get rid of us. The food quality is not as good as what most people have reviewed. They are not fresh and kept on the counter for some time. Would only get the food here if starving.
