The worth they've put into maintaining this is extraordinary. The quietest place in the city, for a good reason. I remember coming here on a field trip when I was 11, and it still has the same effect on me. Lest we forget.

The museum/gallery at the Shrine is absolutely fantastic, a thorough look at Australia’s military history. The building itself is an amazing structure too. Everybody should make an effort to visit.

Such an amazing yet somber site. A great monument for all those that served and gave us what we have today

I took a private tour with one of the you g guides, which was very helpful.  He provided a great deal of background info on the construction of the shrine, as well as the many wars.  Sobering but very worthwhile visit, not to be missed.
