A boat ride to an island? This little paradise in the Yarra river is Melbourne’s best kept secret. Super easy to get to from South Yarra and surrounding suburbs. Free water transportation access via Como landing. There’s a small sculpture festival until April on the island. Highly recommend if you live nearby.
Hidden gem of a park featuring a BBQ & picnic area, natural sculpture park and abundant bird life
Take the punt over and have a BBQ. Gallery worth a look when open.
An oasis in the city. Only accessible by boat, we love to paddle across for a BBQ and laze around on the grass. Has toilets on the island, free BBQ, tap water. BBQ have always been clean.
A true Melbourne hidden gem. I recommend a visit.
Cool place for a picnic.
