I called ahead to confirm they accepted cash payments and was told they did. When I arrived I told the lady on the entry desk I’d need a counter where I could pay cash. She said ‘sure’ and threw me a ticket. I waited patiently in line and was called to complete my licence renewal. Then it came to payment and the lady said she didn’t accept cash. Can you believe it?nSo I had to rejoin the queue and wait again to be served. Thankfully the gentlemen I had was fantastic and served me easily and quickly.nThere is very limited parking here so be prepared if you drive to try and find street parking. Would renew licence online next time. Came at 4:00pm on a Friday and it was busy.
visited the centre today to obtain my P plates and experienced an excessive wait time of over two hours. The delay was due to insufficient staffing—out of approximately ten service counters, only two were operating. During this already busy period, one staff member went on a lunch break, which further increased the waiting time.nThis reflects poor management and planning, especially during peak hours. Better staff allocation and scheduling are needed to ensure customers are served in a reasonable timeframe.
We arrived with an incorrect booking, but the lovely, helpful and efficient Pat at the check-in counter was able to find us an alternative time. At the service counter Alayna assisted us and was equally lovely, efficient and helpful. These 2 ladies had exceptional customer service and made such a difference to what could have been a very disappointing day for my daughter and myself.
If you have your driving test, just pray that you don't get the elderly, blonde female. I had a very negative experience due to the examiner’s rude, impatient, and unprofessional behaviour from the very beginning. When we first met, she did not introduce herself or greet me. Instead, she sighed repeatedly and flicked through my logbook with visible frustration, which immediately made me feel uncomfortable and anxious.nnBefore the test even began, there was an issue with parking. The designated test parking area was completely full, and we were directed by a person sitting outside Service NSW to park elsewhere. Despite explaining this, the examiner spoke to me in a condescending tone and dismissed what I said, making the situation unnecessarily tense.nnOnce in my car tesla, her communication continued to be passive-aggressive and abrupt. She told me to ensure I wasn’t recording her, which is completely reasonable, but the way it was said was rude. As we were exiting the driveway, I waited safely for a clear opening due to another car blocking our path, and she abruptly stated “go!” despite there not being a safe gap yet.nnThroughout the test, instructions were often unclear or muttered quietly. At one point, she told me to “put the car in park or turn it off” so softly that I asked for clarification. She responded by making a face and a hand gesture instead of answering verbally. This lack of clear communication was confusing and unprofessional.nnWhen returning to the test centre, I was told to park anywhere that was free. I began reverse parking, which is a safe and legal option, but she sharply asked “what are you doing?” and then whispered rudely that I could have just parked straight instead. This constant impatience added unnecessary pressure.nnThe biggest issue overall was her attitude. She was impolite, impatient, and made no effort to make me feel comfortable during an already nerve-wracking test. When she told me I had failed and I asked for further explanation, she simply said she had another test to go to and ended the conversation.nnI was told I failed due to insufficient head checks, which I genuinely do not understand, as I was actively checking left, right, and centre consistently throughout the drive. The drive itself was smooth, cautious, and safe. From the examiner’s behaviour from the moment she came out, it felt as though she had already formed a negative opinion before the test even began.nnExaminers should be professional, respectful, and clear in their communication. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. This kind of attitude disadvantages learner drivers who have prepared and are trying their best, and I hope this feedback is taken seriously. I believe that with a different examiner, one who communicated more clearly, was patient, and made an effort to create a calm and supportive environment, I may have performed better and possibly passed the test.
Really had an amazing experience in here getting my customer number! The brunette woman I was chatting to was really great, super friendly and gave me recommendations for my upcoming trip to NZ!
