Extremely narrow and probably the dumbest parking lot design ever seen. A guy was driving down the ramp extremely fast and I had stopped on the ramp below but he still managed to hit my car. “Secure” parking but no cameras what so ever. Once you past the entry point of course there’s cameras on entry/exit to check that you’ve paid, which has made insurance claim tricky especially now that the other party is not admitting fault. Never parking in SECURE parking ever again, after all it is NOT SECURE as it’s name suggests.
The ramps are narrow...which is understandable with space optimisation etc...but why not curve the end railings or the corner walls of the ramps? Just makes it so hard with SUVs. The slots are so narrow and an inconsiderate citizen parked so close next to me, the other side had the fire hydrant's yellow barricade pole...I had to get in through the back seat!! Further, markings and indications to lifts and accessible stairs are non existent! No cameras whatsoever and clearly the graffiti along stairways and disposed tissues and cotton buds etc indicate it is potentially not safe at night. Never parking here again!
Great location near the theatre, and ok prices look for discount codes but it's SO narrow going up and down the ramps, you wouldn't want a car any wider than average. You really need to set up going up and down properly or you'll scrape the sides. Entering in the prepaid code is annoying, there was a good 5 second lag between entering a number and it being registered. It took forever to get in due to this.
The worst parking ever! Spaces are incredibly tight, there is no direction of where to find a parking spot and the price is RIDICULOUS! So disappointed, just realised again why Wilsons Parking is way better and more affordable.
A lot of comments about the narrow ramps - I actually thought the ramp widths are ok and within reasonable tolerance to what should be expected from normal driving behaviour. Floors are clean, bays clearly marked. However this place is let down for pedestrians. Once you leave your car, it is not clear where it is you should go. No signs anywhere. On returning from the theatre, the place was full of zombies staggering around looking for where they parked. Suggest marking the levels a different colour, or something to remind you how to find your car. Tell people where the lifts and stairs are. Reasonably priced at $9 pre-booked mid-week after-hours.
I love this parking. Other than the convenient location, the place is secure, accessible, clean, and I never have trouble finding spots. The early bird rate is also perfect for me as an office worker.
The parking is tight as you would expect. Fairly clean. However $30 on a Saturday for 3 hours is bloodly ridiculous. This is not acceptable. I will not be returning.
Very tight carpark - narrow ramps, small lanes, tight turns. If you have a sedan or anything slightly wider, be very careful when navigating in this carpark because it's very easy to scrape your car. I bought a parking spot online and when I arrived at the lot, there were no spots available to park. In addition, there were cars that were parked in unmarked areas - taking up one of the lanes, blocking in other cars, wherever they could fit their car. This makes it even more difficult to drive in an already tight carpark.
Sooooo narrow when going up between floors and the lift only goes to every second floor so we had to walk down the car ramp to get to the car and lift.
Took 20mins and some team work with the drivers of the cars in front to get in. Very very narrow ramps once you get in, which is to be expected for city car parks. The worst part came when we exited. The line of cars to get out ended at level 6, the top level of the carpark where we parked. It took 10mins to move half a level down. There were cars waiting to pull out of the car parks but could not as there was no space in a line so dense. With feelings of anxiety and claustrophobia coming on, inhaling petrol fumes and just no end in sight, we parked the car and cancelled our plans for the rest of the night. We walked down to stairs to see very frustrated and agitated drivers on the phone to customer service. We came back in 30mins to find no cars in line and both boom gates for the exit broken! We were free!!!!! We survived 59 Lonsdale Street.
