Diving with Scuba IQ was amazing! I cannot recommend it highly enough! We did private dives with Martin, who is a fantastic guide and knows the reef inside and out, and is very on top of safety and the enjoyment of the divers. Scuba IQ also has an underwater photographer, who takes photos of the reef and you diving, meaning you get fantastic and high quality photos at the end of the day. Again, I cannot recommend this experience highly enough, I would do it again in a heartbeat!
I completed my Open Water certificate with ScubaIQ / Martin and I couldn’t be happier! The amount of experience and knowledge he had to share made it easy/comfortable to be out on the reef and enjoy it to the fullest. Went for 6 dives on the Great Barrier Reef and very grateful for the patience and learnings! The Go-to scuba instructor and guide for Port Douglas!!!
Martin played an enormous role in making our honeymoon the trip of a lifetime! He was able to accommodate us on very short notice and provide an exceptional experience while getting our Open Water Certification. Martin was extremely patient, knowledgeable, and creative. He not only made sure we developed the necessary skills to be competent and confident in our diving capabilities, but made every single dive fun, engaging, and something to remember. We cannot thank him enough and our trip would not have been the same without this experience; we strongly recommend Scuba IQ!!
Martin and Scuba IQ were phenomenal. The personalized dives he provided were amazing. He worked to match our comfort level with the dives which allowed for maximum enjoyment. He set up all our equipment and made sure our safety checks were done properly. His knowledge of the reef and experience really helped us see the best spots and he was able to point out all the unique wild life. Finally the pictures and videos he took on his GoPro provided us with a way to remember this once in a lifetime experience forever. If you are diving out of the Port Douglas area I wouldn't dive with anyone else. He was very responsive and helpful in setting everything up, and even picked us up from our hotel. I would go with Scuba IQ again in a second.
Amazing dive experience on the Great Barrier Reef for our family of 4! Martin was an amazing guide! Such personal service with pick up at our hotel, customized dive based on our experience levels, and thorough explanation of what to expect on each dive. We were on a fantastic boat with nice rental gear and always felt very safe and relaxed. We loved that it was just the 4 of us with Martin. Heading to the GBR? This is the guide for you! 10 out of 10 & Five Star. Would definitely use Scuba IQ again!
Scuba IQ was the best scuba experience I have ever had. We went out for 3 days, and our guide Martin helped us while diving. The dive sites were incredible and all unique and were teeming with life. It was stunning. Highly recommended for divers of all skill sets.
I was recommended to contact Martin from a boat operator in Port Douglas. From my first interaction over the phone, Martin was friendly, always prompt and clear with our options. My 13 year old son and I have been diving 7 several times and wanted to work with Martin to move up to our Advanced PADI. Martin helped us achieve this! We had six dives over two days, on a boat that Scuba IQ partner with- ‘Calypso Cruises’. Our instructor was Michael - an absolute gentleman who has a few thousand dives under his belt, and was fantastic for us. My son and I felt safe and comfortable - the equipment was clean and current , and safety was always the priority. I couldn’t imagine there to be a better scuba diving operator in Port Douglas. As for diving the GBR…..INCREDIBLE!! great way to achieve a PADI course , kicking both goals at once. Soooo good!! Thank you Martin, Michael - we will cherish these memories , and put them into practice for many years to come!
ScubaIQ was an awesome experience and intensely educational! Our instructor, Martin, was extremely knowledgeable and patient during our training and made sure we understood the basics of scuba for future dives! Would definitely recommend learning to dive at ScubaIQ!
Incredible experience made better by Martin's knowledgeable guiding. The dives were varied and beautiful, well pitched based on our interests and abilities. Martin the dive leader was interesting, funny, experienced and very helpful. Cannot recommend Scuba IQ enough! Well worth it to get the most out of the Great Barrier Reef diving.
I completed two PADI courses with Scuba IQ in October 2017 - Deep Diver and Underwater Photographer. Martin is a brilliant instructor and an excellent communicator. He exceeded my expectations and made the courses most enjoyable. He has a confident yet friendly nature about him and explains things in a way which is easy to understand. I have been scuba diving with quite a few different companies since I qualified in 2004 and completed various courses around the world. Put simply, Scuba IQ is the best company I have been out with. I cannot recommend them any higher.
