Exceptional. Martin and his partner are truly top notch. Martin was timely, professional, provided personalized attention, and was an overall exemplary steward to both diving and the Port Douglas region. He provided detailed advice and recommendations, each of which was personalized to me as a diver. The actual open water was a brilliant experience and neatly blends coursework/evaluation with a stunning reef experience. Of the 6 dives, 4 contained evaluation but didn't feel like the evaluation lessoned the experience. The equipment, boat, and staff were all wonderful. Martin went out of his way to detail the reef ecology, marine life, dive technique, gear recommendations, and even local food/entertainment recommendations etc. Overall, if you intend to dive in the Port Douglas area, you'd be foolish to not at least consider Martin and the Scuba IQ team. It was an overwhelmingly excellent experience.

Martin and SCUBA IQ got me SCUBA certified while I was visiting Port Douglas from California. From the moment I reached out, he was helpful and clear about what he could offer me, as well as costs. I went with private instruction, as recommended by my US SCUBA instructor, due to a bit of anxiety I was dealing with when I first got underwater. Martin helped me navigate this quickly and easily, with expert skill and got me through the certification process with confidence and ease. Our two free dives on the second day were the highlight of my Great Barrier Reef tour! On top of being professional and highly skilled and experienced, Martin was a really cool guy and we had a blast hanging out on the boat between dives. Really felt like I made a new friend on this trip, and I look forward to coming back and diving the Reef some more with him and SCUBA IQ!

We had 3 amazing dives with Martin! Everything was more than perfect. We have been really lucky to find a dive centre like this. He was answering to my emails within 10 minutes, even if it was late. He was very friendly, helpful and courteous and made us feeling welcome and safe during the whole trip. We have to thank you Martin for this experience at the Great Barrier Reef. We went out with a bigger boat of another Tour, but this was not a problem at all. We have been the first on the boat and the first in the water all the time, Martin managed everything and gave us great information about dive sites and what we have to expect. After the dives we researched the fish in a book and found out what we have seen. And we received a great Video of our dives too. Highly recommended!

Best diving experience so far! Don't bother looking into diving with other companies. Martin is your man! I dived with many companies in the past and it'll be hard to top the quality and personalised service of Scuba IQ. Martin is a brilliant teacher, and makes you feel comfortable at any time. We've been well looked after and had a great day exploring the reef. Thanks again! Stefanie

I can highly recommend Martin and ScubaIQ if you are looking to do some diving up in Port Douglas. I have contacted him months before my trip and he was so helpful to answer all my questions and helped me plan my trip and my dives at the Great Barrier Reef. It was a fantastic day with heaps of memories and great diving. Martin really knows the dive spots and makes sure you will have a great day. I can´t wait to be back for some more dives.
