Nice river trip with good views of the river and the mangrove. With a free drink and byte to eat, perfect end of the afternoon. Did niet t see any Crocodile but still very enjoyable trip.
Best experience with best crew. We were hesitant being non swimmers but there is lot of options available with them. There is submarine, they provide you with safety vests of all sizes and all plenty of equipment available.nFrom booking till the end of this tour they all deserve 5 star.nThey picked us up from hotel and dropped back at night.nThe lunch was delicious and snacks available were good.nI was also told by my friends who went with other groups that they had lot of sickness while travelling. But with quicksilver they have huge boat and none of us felt sick. Lots of space to sit or go to the upper deck. Staff very friendly.nThey have pantoon parked at Agincourt reef and that makes experience more amazing with lots of space and options to do.nHighly recommended tour.
Absolutely best day out.nWe had a great time out on the reef with quicksilver the whole experience was worth every penny. Everyone on board did an excellent job and we felt safe and happy throughout the entire day. Will be recommending to anyone
We went on the Quicksilver Outer Barrier Reef from Port Douglas. Our trip had approximately 200 people. That was geeat and with this large catamaran we didn't feel crowded. They motor us out to a large activity platform which takes about 1 1/2 hours. This platform is on a small section of the Barrier Reef. On this platform they served us a hot & cold meal buffet style which was great.nThe platform options included in our ticket price was lunch, snorkeling & gear, submersible sub 25 min. There were other options for a fee. Their attention to safety was spot on. This was a great trip and a reasonably priced tour, which we booked last minute. An excellent day out on the reef, everything has been thought of and provided for to have a great day out.nnThere is a free carpark at the harbour, check in was very quick and easy. Greeting on the boat was lovely with a tea, coffee or soft drink, they even had lovely people on board selling anti sickness medication for sea/motion sickness, a great idea, as I suffer with that and for $3.50 I had a tablet on the way out and one on the way back, I didn't get any sickness at all.nnThe journey to the reef was about 90 minutes, the crew on board gave informative talks on the way about the reef and the wildlife or you could sit on deck and enjoy the sunshine and fresh air. Same on the return journey.nnOnce we had reached the platform on the reef, the semi submersible boats were going every 25-30 minutes, the underwater observation was opened, there was a little shop to purchase items like waterproof phone bags, t-shirts and hoodies.nnThe lycra wet suits are no extra cost and the snorkeling equipment is ready and available as soon as you are. There are changing rooms on the platform but the toilets are all in the boat, which is part of the platform once docked and tied up.nnThe team onboard are really helpful and are great with first timers and nervous swimmers, life vests and pool noodles are all available too.nnThe snorkeling was amazing, the fish were all sorts of sizes and colours the coral was beautiful, I will definitely be trying the scuba diving next time I visit.nnOverall we had a fantastic day, we can't wait to come back to Australia and the barrier reef to do it all again.
