Food, service, and ambience were great. Prices were very reasonable. Great portion. Toilet located in restaurant. There is plenty of parking space around the restaurant. No outdoor seatings.High chairs for kids are available. Will visit again.
This is my second time dining at Saravanaa Bhavan Wantirna. I've also dined at the Melbourne CBD location.nnThey must have undertaken a renovation here because the setting is clean, fresh, and new. It feels a lot more comfortable than the last time I was there. No more robots waiters?nnI ordered a plain dosa, masala dosa, chana masala, basmati rice, and yellow dahl.nnThe dosa was nice, soft and crispy at the same time. The masala dosa however lacked texture and flavour the masala that is. The chana masala wasn't the best I've had and the chickpeas were out of a tin I believe, they certainly didn't taste fresh. The yellow dahl was also ok, not the best I've had.nnOverall the food was disappointing. Disappointing because the CBD location is very good, great flavours, and makes you want to go back for more. It's surprising because given the fact that it's a chain, I would have thought the food would be a lot more consistent. Alas, here we are.nnThe staff were super helpful and friendly.nnI won't be back to Saravanaa Bhavan Wantirna anytime soon, however I will be going to the Melbourne CBD location instead.nn- Charles W.
Was hoping to try a plain Briyani, but the only able to order the vegetable Briyani that was super super spicy, even with the yogurt. We can usually tolerate chilli, but this was on fire!!nnThe paper thin dosa was absolutely beautiful! So was the chutney accompaniments.nnThe idly was soft and light. The vada was freshly dried and crunchy on the outside soft in side.nnThe ginger tea was spot on!nnService was very friendly and helpful.nnWill definitely come again... but might skip the briyani...
Dishes were different to a regular Indian restaurant. The Dosas were fresh and crispy. The sauces were on point. Clean venue and the staff deserve a 10 on 1p for friendliness. The food takes time as good food takes time to prepare. Heaps of parking spots. The desserts looked fresh too. A must try. Also unique was the Robt delivery food to tables.South Indian Thalia is a must try!
I had the pleasure dining at Sarvana bhavan Wantirna Branch this week with my team. From the moment we walked in, the newly revamped interior immediately caught our attention welcoming and vibrant atmosphere, making it a great spot for gathering with friends and family.As always, the food was top-notch and they were absolutely mouth-watering! The flavours were rich and authentic .we can’t wait to go back again.
