It's pretty good value for money - 14.50 for 2 meats, 1 veg and rice there are varying options and you can pick from the selection they have there. I had the fish curry , beef curry and some veggies I found the quality to be reasonable could be a little spicier and the beef was a bit dry. It gets quite popular here over lunch time. I would come back again to try the other options
Tiny place in the heart of Melbourne CBD. Friendly staff. The food was good for the price. The beef tendon was a plus taste so good and soft, perfectly cooked. Minus point styrofoam cup.
: @salerokitomelbourne : Bourke Street : A hidden gem in the heart of the CBD. If you love authentic Indonesian food, especially Padang food, you have to try Salero Kito. There’s a wide selection for you to choose from. If you don’t know what to order, just point at everything HAHA. : I absolutely loved the Kikil Curry! If you haven’t tried it, give it a go! I love the fish as well, I’m a fish fiend, lol Also, make sure to ask for curry sauce AND rendang sauce on top of your rice if you get the Nasi Bungkus.
Definitely tasty and has that kick of Padang cuisine. If you have the craving of Indonesia food then this the right place.
Friendly staff and very tasty authentic food. I recommend going early in the day rather than later as the food isn’t cooked fresh to order. It is sitting in warming trays / Bain Marie trays for many hours if you go later in the day. Also recommend asking for more servings of meat per dish.
Value and authentic place for a regular work lunch. Some dishes can be really spicy. The crispy fried beef lung is the best I’ve tried so far in Melbourne. Wish they revamp the place up with a deco or reno, as it looks old and dirty.
Very Tasty food, good selection. place could be nicer if I was to be picky but I'm not going for the setting.
If beef lung the Malaysian or Indonesian way is your favourite you must try this. So much work to clean and parboiled for deep fried I just have to come here and enjoyed this dish, the spicy one ! Not a bad one to go when you are craving some spiciness ! Yummo…
Incredible padang food definitely best in Melbourne would even say best in Victoria nowhere else compares. The rendang is out of this world and traditional as they come. Very reasonably priced about $15 for a plate with 2 meat dishes and a veggie dish with a teh kotak
Loved this place. A hidden gem if you like Padang food. The place is small and hard to find seat when it’s busy. Variety of food items to select. Loved the beef rendang and spicy chicken. The quantity was good, you can ask for more rice for no extra cost. It’s one of the place to go when you are really hungry. The staffs were very friendly and the service was so quick. Will be back again.
