When three friends Ivan Constable, Jean-Paul Rosette and Keita Yamanaka were trying to come up with a name for their salon, the name Louie seemed an obvious choice. Louis XIV after all, is the Patron Saint of hairdressers, florists and perfumers. Iggy Pop once said that his warm up song during sound checks was a cover version of “Louie Louie” by the band The Kingsmen. Saint Louie pays homage to both icons, the saint and rock n roll.

While the salon was beautiful and the colourist Jenny, was lovely and did a great job, unfortunately I can't say any more positive things about the way my fringe was trimmed by JP. It was cut in a ludicrously short amount of time 1 minute. I was not asked where I parted my hair, which I only realised straight after it moved two cms to the left. I ended up with a blunt, choppy, unblended, too short for my liking, thick fringe. I couldn't believe that a professional hairdresser had done this and neither could anyone who saw me in the next few days. One person said 'Wow what in the world is that?'. I called and told them and they were extremely nonchalant about it, no sorry and not taking responsibility whatsoever. Yikes, not okay!Services: Hair coloring
I was feeling a bit down about my own self because of the current health issues I am going through and I had a lot of hair loss. I can’t believe how welcoming and understanding Jean was to me. He did incredible job in doing my hair, so so perfect the way I imagined. I came out with happy face, full of confidence and life. Thank you very much Jean
It’s been too long since my last visit, but Ivan, JP and their team are absolute professionals while making you feel like you’re in their lounge room. They deal with my crazy hair quickly and the atmosphere is amazing. These guys are the business. Sticking with them for good and wishing them all the best through Covid times. Wish I could give 100 stars.
I had very damaged hair as a result of over bleaching from a different salon. After reading the reviews online, and knowing the direction I wanted to take my hair, I booked my first appointment at Saint Louie Hair with Claire. Claire spent a lot of time with me before the haircut in consultation, which made me feel so much more confident once she started her scissor work which is magic btw!. I walked out of the salon with the MOST AMAZING HAIRCUT and products she recommended to use and techniques she taught me to help my hair regain its health! It’s been 4 weeks now and as it grows the strength, shine and overall health have improved immensely....and gets better & better every day! Thanks Claire!
