We stayed one night for a rowing regatta and found the location to be perfect. Staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. The hotel was close to restaurants, shops and the river. The rooms were spacious and clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable. We slept incredibly well. The hotel is quiet with no traffic or street noise and we managed to get a lovely ocean view. I think we have found our Geelong base. Thanks Rydges Geelong

Stayed here for 2 nights. Location was great. Short drive to everything we were in Geelong for. Bed was comfy, had a nice view over the bay. Didn't eat at the hotel. Standard double room, was clean. Bathroom a little bit small but we survived. Would happily stay again next time we travel to watch the soccer.

Stayed in the place paid for parking but couldn’t get a car spot downstairs. The room was very dated and had a funky smell in the entire hotel. Aircon system is rubbish! Your better off bringing your own fan from home to keep cool. Great view of the car park only positive thing I can say was the comfortable bed And the friendly staff.👎👎👎

When we arrived 12 am midnight, there was no one at the front desk. We have to knock on the office door to get the staff out. He did not explain a word about why he was hiding inside. No apologies either. When we finished check in and approached the lift, the staff asked us to get back to the front desk to do something to our room cards. I guess he might have misdone something a minute ago. Again, no explanation, no apologies. The room had no slippers. I called the reception three times and no one picked up. I finally reached a staff on the operator line, who told me they don't provide slippers. Fine. Very rude service, and the room is poorly equipped in all perspectives. The lobby stinks.

Staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable, if a little dated. Easy walking distance to the CBD and the pier.
