I Was here B4 the floods in Jan/Feb 2022. Great views and clean toilets. But 1 male toilet, 1 disabled toilet and similar for female and these few toilets have to be shared with all RV sites, all marina boats, all moored boats and even all staff and patrons of the restaurant too. Not to mention any outsiders using the laundrette. Not a single bottle of hand sanitiser anywhere to be seen in the whole complex. Cannot recommend this place whatsoever.
We stayed at the B&B and had a lovely time. The room was lovely and all the facilities were very clean. The town itself was like going back in time. We took the most fantastic photos. If you love history you need to come. Stay at the Marina
I had the unfortunate experience of being refused being able to retrieve our yacht from the Mary river marina. Brett the owner had contacted us numerous times to attend to our yacht after 12 meters of flooding. We were lucky she was still afloat with damage. However we were let in on arrival then refused entry due to the fact of me being in a wheelchair with a broken leg. Brett stated we could use his tinny to go to the yacht and was happy to help. However once we were going to the tinny his wife Donna was yelling at us to no proceed because I’m disabled in a wheelchair. Even after permission by her husband Brett. Who I might add sat watching and said nothing. I guess we can see some issues in their relationship which should not influence customer service or common decency.. manners and common decency. It is an 11 hour round trip to try and sort out moving our 57ft yacht. Now not sure how we are going to sort it. I wouldn’t go back or recommend this marina to a dead mans chicken dinner
Yes, The Wharf Marina may have been hit by 2 major flood events, 6 weeks apart but this is a phenomenal business, owned by motivated people & it will be back, bigger and better. There are amazing plans in the pipeline for a very different eatery experience that Maryborough has yet to enjoy and the actual Marina, boating side and the RV Park, both of which are the core business will be back up and running before too long. Please show some respect & patience to the owners during this heartbreaking time so we can all enjoy their amazing hospitality once again.
I went there as part of a school reunion. We had a room to ourselves. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Left us to talk and kept us supplied with food and beverages. Great quiet, private venue right on the river. Really enjoyed ourselves.
Excellent service on two occasions. Erin and Kylie were fantastic. Thanks Kylie for giving our kids some bread to feed the catfish! Great food, too!
Went to lunch to try newly opened Deck and Anchor. I had a ceaser salad which I added prawns for $6.00.I was given 4 prawns. It was a small serve. Fairly ordinary, and my husband had a steak sandwich and added chips for $4.00. Nothing wrong with it but wouldn't go back for it. The iced coffee was very nice.
What a gr8 little RV park right on the Mary River close to town walking distance The Deck & Anchor restaurant is a wonderful spot for lunch & live music on a Sunday arvo. Brett & Donna are wonderful hosts.
Always a fantastic stay in the Marina, love it here amazingly clean facilities, close to everything including the fed for a drink and lovely people can't wait to come back.
A nice place to visit in Maryborough. It is one of the only places open on a Sunday and I must say that the food is really good. No queuing up to order your meal at the counter, they come to the table and take your order as it should be. Nice seating areas right on the Mary river and they had live music as well. The only downside of our visit was the water that they serve tastes as if it taken straight out of the river, really horrible and undrinkable. A simple filter system would solve this easily. For the rest I can recommend this place for a good meal and a nice cold beer or wine.
