Very nice place with lovely homes that have large garages to accommodate residents caravans and motor homes. They also have great amenities.
Seems like a nice place to stretch and grow. There are a lot of little white dogs seeking as much attention as the person on the other end of the lead. Village life means friendliness, it's freely available in all its forms and is therefore mostly comforting. ---- On the surface I’d say RV Homebase offers value for money.
Visiting friends. A great spot and good facilities.
Beautifully kept grounds. Couldn't believe the size of the homes. Each home has a garage:/shed that was enormous, they are big enough and high enough for a caravan or motor home and car.. Thats why we think its called an RV park. Gated and secure. Fabulous
Amazing concept. Wonderful green spaces, homes are beautifully designed and 2 pools, golf, tennis, lawn bowls, gym, library and craft areas. Much better setup than latitude 25 which has fences and no green spaces
Have met a lot of great people here. Managers and ground staff have their work cut out for them but really keep up with residents requests. Has the best facilities for any RV Retirement Village. Worth a visit if considering moving.
Caught up with some OLD friends for a quick chat and reminisce about their children and grandchildren. A very pleasant and relaxing experience.
Excellent grounds and facilities. Wouldn't be a bad place to live.
Lovely village...has everything you could want and more...staff in office are friendly and always halpful..gardens beautiful. ..
My wife and I were shown over this complex a few days ago by Kevin and were very impressed. We have visited many different retirement style villages but this was the first one that has been specifically designed for RV owners and those that like to travel frequently. One of the main gripes we have had with other retirement complexes is the small footprint allocated to each home, this is not the case at RVHomebase. Each home has a nature reserve adjoining it or looks out over parkland to the two dams on the property, the homes per acre are by far the lowest we have come across. The standard of construction is also very good. Brick construction can not be used because the guidelines for this kind of complex states the dwellings must be removable but this is a legal requirement only, the homes are very well constructed and are going nowhere. Another problem we have seen with other retirement villages is they can look pretty ordinary after a few years if the inhabitants are given free reign with what they can do with their homes. While some people may like to fill their yard with rusting cars and have chooks running everywhere others may not. The rules in place at RVHomebase are designed to keep the homes looking as good in 20 years time as they do now, to me this is a big plus. Some of the homes we saw had small veggie gardens and fruit trees growing, all very well maintained. Dogs are allowed but must be controlled. The entertainment areas are more in tune with a holiday resort than a retirement village, swimming pools, games room, gymnasium, BBQ areas and tennis court are just some of the "extras" you get for living there. This complex is by far the best we have seen and the prices seem very reasonable, in fact they seem like a real bargain so there must be a catch. To us the catch is the location. We have no problems with the title set up and if the complex was where we now live on the NSW Mid Nth Coast we would have signed up on the spot. The reality is that if it was near us it would be close to twice the price, the land values near here are just too high to make this sort of complex viable. Maryborough is a nice enough town but 30km from the ocean is just too far for us. We both love the water and are only 1km from the beach where we now live. The only other negative with the complex is that there is a speedway track adjacent to it which would be noisy once a month or so, not a deal breaker for me as we would probably attend occasionally for something different. They say life is a compromise and in this case they are right, if the location is OK with you then this place is definitely worth checking out.
