Found out about this wonderful facility via a Google search and was directed to the local town hall to liaise with the very affable ladies that man the desk at the Information Centre. A permit was dually forthcoming, service with a smile! Parking area was less than 50 mts away and we parked overlooking a very pleasant grassed lawn. All quiet overnight although the local church Carillion played constantly for an hour but finished by 7pm. All good! And interesting. Short walk to town and toilet facilities across the road. Stay limited to 2 nights.
Pulled in yesterday afternoon to this quiet location. 48 hour max stay. Clean, right in town, ample wide bays for any size RV. Plenty of sun for solar panels. Dog friendly. MUST BE SELF CONTAINED for GREY WATER. Walking distance to river, visitor information centre, Bunnings etc.
Great location, conveniently positioned within walking distance to shops. Free 48 hour stay.
What a great place to stay. Lots to see, friendly people and nice and quiet at night. Also enjoyed the $2 showers at the pool across the road. Absolutely recommend the story bank, what a wonderful place for young and old
Congratulations on this shire inititive. Great free camp in centre of Town. Must be self contained RV. Very historic friendly town. Loved both our stays here especially the Mary Poppins museum.
Great little town. Plenty of historic info to check out. RV Park was pretty quiet not too many vans here.
We could have driven pass through if we didn’t know this stop in the middle of town. It was no hassle for us to have walked back after nights out with dinner and a couple of drinks. Thank you for the council to offer this facility to travellers.
What a great place to stop and explore Maryborough. This is walking distance to everything. The war memorials and gardens are lovely to wander through,and interesting. Well done Maryborough, so pleased we stayed instead of the usual drive past.

Quiet, woke to ringing of church bells. Very cute. Close to shops very handy. Highly recommended.
