I have no idea why there would be any reviews with less then 5 stars. This company was amazing. From the first point of contact to the last. Friendly, helpful, accommodating. I actually made a mistake on the size of the foam I needed cut for our camper trailer and when I rang in a panic as we were leaving in a few hours for the trip, Juan fix it immediately for me so we would have exactly what we needed for our trip. I would highly recommend him. Absolutely fantastic....
We ordered a pool and spa cover at significant expense because we wanted to support a local business rather than buying online. We were told the order would be ready in 10 days. After more than 2 months of calling the store regularly and being promised on numerous occasions the covers were finished and would be installed "today", we gave up and demanded our deposit back. We didn't receive so much as an apology from the owner. The experience was almost unbelievable.
I'm surprised by the negative reviews this business is receiving. I'm not sure when they were written but l have been to this shop 3 times in the last 6 months.. the most recent today 13/6/20.. & have found the sole advisor/salesperson/owner to be most helpful & pleasant. I haven't had work done by him, however have purchased product for my own projects. He's knowledgeable & professional & went out of his way to problem-solve for me. His name is Jann & l would be surprised if these reviews were about him. Perhaps a former owner?
The business name is "United Industrials", not "Rubberworks" as listed here on Google. I'm guessing a business changeover accounts for the terrible older reviews... Jann was super helpful, polite, professional, prompt & knowledgeable. His customer service skills are delightful! I had a sticky beak at some of his work while he patiently walked me though the info I needed, & as a result he'll be receiving an order from me today.
I ordered 1. An outdoor daybed cushion originally to be covered in a black fabric shown to me by the owner with four contrasting stripe cushions. I changed black daybed cushion to same striped fabric. 2. An existing chair pad to be wrapped in layers of cushioning shown to me and recommended by owner to make existing chair pad thick and sumptuous with a large matching European chair back cushion, again thick and sumptuous, with two smaller soft cushions. I explained the chair had to have big thick and softer cushioning. That was the whole reason for the order. He asked for half payment $276.15 inc GST which was paid. I went to collect and all were wrapped up in huge plastic sheeting and taped well. I was asked to pay a balance of $291. 65 and did not have record of original payment with me at the time so I paid this amount. When I looked more closely at parcel I noted it was four cushions short and we argued over the order which he had initially scribbled on note paper the day I went in. Reluctantly I took parcel home and with help of husband and a guest unpacked. The daybed cushion had fabric faults along one edge. My chair large chair pad was simply covered over existing fabric with none of the extra filling he showed me in showroom and the piped edging of my cushion showed through and was now a ridge on top of cushion under new cover. There was one hard 50 cm cushion not a big , full soft European as discussed, plus 2 small hard cushions one cover just over filling with no inner fabric to contain it when covers needed laundering. I sent email and a text however no response. After numerous attempts to call him I finally got him but he was aggressive, denied I had ordered the four daybed cushions and was abusive and hung up. Have returned the lot. Would like a refund. He has accused me of dragging day bed cushion And denied the four daybed cushions. He refuses refund and says he will look into it but will not do four extra cushions. He confirmed he took half payment as deposit yet denied my second payment was more than half even though I have bank details. I took photos and videos of the products when we unwrapped. There is no way I would pay $576.80 if there had not been the extra cushions. Extremely disappointing and unprofessional service. He is blaming the makers however he should have ensured they had details of the order and checked it. Wish I had opened it in store. To be continued.
Jaan is a legend. Great at what he does and does it quickly and perfectly. I previously went to three upholstery shops in Noosaville and none could help or wanted to help with a simple awning repair. Jaan managed to squeeze me with no troubles. I highly recommend this place. Roy
It was obvious that Jann was very busy leading up to Christmas but I found him keen to help and interested in my Moke wheel arch mudguard project. The rubber product that I bought was not rip off prices either. All in all it was a great discovery in the middle of Noosaville. I will be back. Also it might be timely to change the business name to the present owners. United Industrials. Those negative feedbacks are for the previous owners, not for Jann.
I’ve never been one to leave reviews but I honestly need to make the public aware of how TERRIBLE this company’s service is. When we bought our custom made mattress we asked them specifically how long it would take to make the mattress as we needed it for the weekend. We were told it would DEFINITELY be made by Friday and when we called on Friday morning to check it was coming, we were told it MIGHT be in on the delivery truck this afternoon at 4pm. I called again to confirm this today and spoke to Darren who informed me that there was absolutely no way that this mattress could have been delivered today. The fact that we were LIED to, not once but twice is completely outrageous. Now reading the reviews of other people having similar issues, I honestly don’t under how you are still a functioning company. Safe to say I have never been so disappointed in a company before.
Just went to pick up a custom sponge made for my partner who had already paid for this was a pre order Went in to pick it up, and was told balance was still $69.95 Advised gentleman it was already paid for, he told me to call tomorrow and “argue it out” because he wasn’t getting involved. The manager? we originally dealt with last week was amazing, but the employee I was served by today was incredibly rude and arrogant. Very much so a “not my problem” issue.
Very unwelcoming attitude of sales staff. Stood around waiting while sales bloke is sitting down in the back room on the phone to his mate. When we were noticed we had to go down to the back to see the mattress on a rack under a pile of rubber off-cuts. Asked the price - turns out to be $10 more than quoted over the phone but when asked he said he had made a mistake and would not honour the price. Needless to say we walked out. Very poor experience and cannot recommend them at all.
