The day was so beautiful and pleasant. People were enjoying the sun and the outdoor music by some. Had a great time! Visit the place especially in summer time.
I waited 3 years to get enrolled at Masters in Fashion Entrepreneurship at RMIT, my first application to the program refused in 2016 but 2019 approved again. Even some lectures during the program were not decent during lectures. Clearly improper behaviour. Graduated but still unable to find a suitable job for that degree.
Beautiful campus in central Melbourne with many classy buildings.
The most supportive environment I have ever been in , the teachers are really understanding and they really care about their students from what I have seen. This uni is a bit of a hand holding one but some people need that in life as they just need that little extra support.
Its on of the good universities. The facilities are pretty good as well. But all this is subjective to the course that you would be taking. Also the kind of facilities or buildings that one would be using Building 5 is good for me as thats where i work
Based on my own personal experience, I would not recommend that prospective students undertake a postgraduate qualification with RMIT. In comparison to other Victorian universities, I found RMIT administration to be the opposite of student-centered and I think it needs significant improvement. I felt like there was a level of unnecessary bureaucracy passed on to me as a student for basic processes and supports. I found that simple requests could become paperwork and handballing across departments, sometimes with conflicting information given. Staff were professional but rarely seemed to be able to inact common sense solutions or give straightforward responses. In my postgraduate course there was seemingly little focus on academic integrity and many of the students appeared to progress alongside me despite obvious gaps in their knowledge of basic principles, it was extremely frustrating. In my experiences, other Victorian universities are much more focused on student satisfaction, academic integrity and quality teaching experiences. Personally, I do regret choosing RMIT for my postgraduate qualification.
A fantastic, magic place. Probably the best State Library I've ever visited
ABSOLUTE DISGUSTING TREATMENT One of the worst encounters ever. RMIT Connect do not deserve jobs. The program manager Sam Lerocca, the others that were “helping” me including, Nadine and Allie. Stopped replying to me after numerous emails back and forth. To be told that my partner was enrolled, to then be told week later he’s not, with no reason, and absolutely no help at all. These members have been absolutely disgraceful towards me. I have had them lie to on multiple occasions and now still will not send through the course dates, after paying! Still got nowhere, will not speak to me or even my partner, emails get you nowhere. They will not help, they do not care. I promise if you attend here, if you need anything from them they will not help you. I have been waiting on dates for my partner for weeks now. Most likely will not get them. I 100000% recommend never going here
The building design tafe course was terrible. Timetable is impossible to have a life outside of class. Cost of course is more than 50% over other providers. More than 250 students enrolled and less than half get through to 2nd year. No flexibility in for extension of time to complete assessments. Was told to only reenrol in the unit…. They only want money.
My house was robbed and my wallet and family car had been stolen. I asked for a 1 day extension for an assessment since I need to reissue ID's my mother and mine, bank cards, get insurance claims, and get house locks switched. He set a deadline where I have to get written evidence within 1 business day otherwise nothing will be done. Police only gave me a number for insurance and insurance company was taking a very long time. I asked Rui again what I would be able to do if I dont get the email within that timeframe. He said nothing could be done and i would need to go in person to get a physical document. I dropped the unit, there is already so many things that need to be done after your house gets robbed, i do not have time to skip class to get a physical document, fall behind then catch up on class, then finish assignment while having to sort out issues for the robbery. Incredibly dense and insensitive
