Appalling customer service. I got a shirt that didn't fit me as a Christmas present. The person who gifted me the shirt had been informed at Rivers that I wouldn't need a receipt to exchange the shirt. When I tried to exchange my shirt for the same model in a different size, the shift leader made it seem like the end of the world that I didn't have the receipt. She did the exchange in the end, so I guess the rule is exchanging is only allowed after the customer goes through a lot of stress. For one of the shirts they didn't have my size for, I got sent a good quality photo of the receipt. However, this photo was not accepted and I wasn't given a good reason why not. Now, even government agencies accept good quality photos of proof (I've used these at the ATO, Immigration office and Relationship register office). I guess the data sensitivity is a lot higher for 20-dollar shirts.
