This review is for my recent experience watching Cinderella. It was spectacular. Great cast, love the costumes, plenty of props and overall fun storytelling. I also thoroughly enjoyed the renovated seats. Regent theatre is majestic. The staff were also greeting us with friendliness too. I love how there are plenty of bathrooms.
Beautiful theatre- so pretty and ornate. I have also been to a function in their ballroom which is just spectacular with a magnificent staircase setting the scene as you enter. Gorgeous architecture and romantic setting- great for functions, weddings, balls. Very memorable!!
This review is for Moulin Rouge. The Sets were beyond fantastic, the songs were brilliant and the costumes to die for. Regent Theatre was decked out perfectly for this amazing show which I highly recommend. If you haven’t been to see it try and get there before it finishes you will not be disappointed. The cast come out prior to the show starting and wander through the stage setting you are permitted to take photographs at this time which is a nice touch.
Been a long time since my last visit. Remember it was the war horse in the early 2020. The theatre is spectacular as usual. Compared to Princess theatre, it has nicer sitting area and bigger toilet.
Probably the best theatre i have been too! It’s such a beautiful building, and the acoustics are awesome. I saw Moulin Rouge late last year, and am seeing Hairspray and Cinderella here in a few months time. I can’t wait to see how they decorate the theatre for these shows, as the moulin rouge set in amazing!!
What an experience to see Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella at the Regent Theatre. A must for all ages. The young will enjoy the beauty and colours but the older crowd will enjoy the humour tongue and cheek and the performances. Brilliant in every way. Do yourself a favour and go. And The Regent Theatre is such a delight such beauty and welcoming hosts. Just wish the seats were a little more comfortable. But other than that.....A must.
The Theater is magnificent. The acoustics are excellent and each seat has perfect viewing. Bringing this masterpiece back from the dead has proven to be another Gem in Melbourne Theater District. One of my favorites. Moulin Rouge an energetic Performance by very talented young people with music you could not help but sing to. Worth the wait.
This review is on Cinderella. Wow!!! Amazing costumes, voices and story line. Myself, sister-in-law and two 11 year olds loved it. The quick costume changes were also well thought out.Anyone that loves the theatre I’d say it’s well worth going too. The theatre itself is as stunning as always the only down fall was the kiosk. Why you’d have staff mixing cocktails whilst people are trying to get a bottle of drink and pre package food amazes me. Whilst people were waiting to be served to quickly enter the theatre became late then having to wait to be seated. This is with waiting 20 minutes in kiosk cue. Simply solution would be to have a cue just for cocktails and wine whilst one serves the other staff makes them. I wasn’t the only person frustrated waiting to purchase simply items off the menu.
Gorgeous. Such a beautiful theatre. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It had a lovely "old world" charm about it. Lighting, sound, seating, performance of Cinderella... All amazing. Highly recommend.
Beautiful theatre but Holly Molly, the queue to the restroom was worse than queuing up for Covid vaccination! Not very accessible for people with disabilities because had to go up and down the stairs just to visit the restroom. Thankfully the queue did move fast. Moulin Rouge event was awesome, totally enjoyed it
