I rented a Kia Rio from Redspot Melbourne Airport for 4 days on 7 September.  This was an Auto car and going on 'D' forward was no problem as it seemed okay.  A long drive from Airport to Toorak I discovered that the 'Reverse' gear was not working.  I could not back out of any spot.  The car only went forward.  It appeared to work sometimes but not always.  I will never again rent a car with Redspot.  It is a disgrace that such cars have been given to customers.  DO NOT RENT CARS FROM THIS COMPANY.
