Story

Jindaporn Phuthiamsri (Mango) decided that she would open a small Thai takeaway restaurant in Christchurch.

Mango found a small premises at 240 Stanmore road that had previously been a takeaway pre-earthquake, but was closed for 4 years waiting for a rebuild.

Mango had in mind the quality of food she wanted to produce and employed a top North Island chef and his wife. Together they created a menu which produces excellent Thai food of the highest quality. The feedback from the patrons has been fantastic.

Hands down the best Thai food I have ever eaten. Massive portions for a very reasonable price, friendly and welcoming staff. The crispy pork pad Thai is to die for, it’s beautiful!! Highly recommended this place.

Amazing food.....me and my partner loved the authentic food and specially spicy and this place does all the honour.....our favourite  lunch is pad sea eaw and pork ribs always tempting.

Don't have much experience with Thai food but surely come back there to try more. Tasty, big portions rich in flavor and vegetables (not only sauce meat and rice). One portion easily to split for 2,especially with additional spring rolls or a others. Nice service as well :)

Bestest Thai takeaway in chch so far I have experienced! They have great lunch menu for $10 and dinner is also just as great! Love the pad Thai even though its original but no other place I have enjoyed it as much as this place!

The good -        Very cheap with a large portion, friendly service.
The average -   Pretty boring food seems very Kiwi Thai to me pretty 
                           greasy with a large amount of an overpowering sauce that 
                           makes the whole meal taste the same.

At the price of $14 for a meal that filled me up though i'm pretty darned happy. Just a few misleading reviews here the people saying this is the best Thai in Christchurch need to try a few more restaurants out. :p
