Wonderful food and service! We tried this restaurant for home delivery for the first time. The staff member who took our order spent time enquiring on what we liked. I tried their home made tofu beancurd and it was THE most delicious I have tasted since travelling to Asia. The laksa's vegetarian and combination were flavour full and delicious. The food arrived in 30 minutes, piping hot and fresh. We will be back again and again. Our compliments to the staff and the chef.

Horrible Chinese food. Was watery and tasteless. First and last time ordering from here.  Edit: To get a hostile reply to my review from the restaurant owner is another reason I will never order from here again.  I never specified in my original review that it was the curry that was watery and tasteless, it was also the chicken and cashew nuts that was unpleasant too, bland boiled chicken swimming in a tasteless water.  To be told that their regular customers know how they “cook” is not a good look for a business that may be looking for new customers.  Horrible food and horrible customer service.. I wouldn’t waste your money at this restaurant.

Very disappointed in the food, we ordered BBQ pork and veg; beef with ginger and shallots, chicken and cashew, fried rice and prawn toast. Each dish was flavourless and filled to brim with veggies understandable for the BBQ pork and veg dish. The beef was the worst, couldn't taste any ginger or shallots at all, was quite watery. Even the toast and rice was bland.  The customer service was good on the phone and in person, however the meal itself was below average. I have not eaten at red lantern in years and remember it being quite tasty last time we were there.. disappointing.

First time trying the foood here, and I dont mean to sound rude but it's really bad. There's barely any meat - its mostly vegies. There were only a few slices of pork amongst all the vegetables in my meal and I couldnt eat all. Everything my friend and I ordered tasted terrible. However, the customer service was fantastic and helpful. Maybe I came on a bad day.

The receptionist need to be more kind Especially the boss. When I walked in I said hello, the boss just looked at me then continued to do her things without any basic greeting. I can’t feel any hospitable welcome from them.

Well, that was the worst Chinese meal we have ever had!!!! Don't expect us to ever come back! The only thing that tasted OK were the free prawn crackers.

An Asian institution in the heart of Palmerston. One thing that was a real stand out for me was their laksa. All the great flavours you would love from a regular laksa however with a twist of sweetness from the use of onions makes this definitely top 5 in Darwin. One of the rare moments where I take a photo after eating and not before. Family friendly, relaxed dining experience. Staff are very friendly and eager to please.

Small servings for price. Seafood combination no vegetables cost $19 they were going to charge more for having to leave the vegetables out. Two Prawns, one bit of fish, a few calamari rings and a whole heap of bland sauce. Cauliflower was raw in the Combination garlic. Special fried rice was bland and dry. These three dishes cost $46.00.

First time ordering at Red Lantern and never, ever again.  Ordered the sizzling steak in Peking Sauce and mixed entree, ate the spring rolls and tossed the rest, what a waste.  The steak was very tough and chewy, the sauce was sickly sweet. The wontons are a joke, the filling doesn't even fill a half teaspoon. Apart from 2 spring rolls, everything went to the bin.
