Went to Ray's today (26 October 2017) on the way home from work. There were no other customers in the store and it was more than half an hour before the closing time stated on the door. I noticed two gentlemen behind the counter and one lady out on the floor. No one attempted to help me. I went over to the footwear section and couldn't find work boots. No one attempted to assist. I then saw the work boot section and went there. I had enough time (in full view of all three staff) to try on not one, not two but three pairs of lace up work boots, moving boxes around to get the right size, before I left the store without purchasing anything. With that kind of service it is far easier and cheaper to just buy on-line.

Staff were unhelpful and did not engage at all, I had to ask for them to look out the back then waited to pay while one tall blond decided to have a drink of water and follow the other girl saying “ where are you going” meanwhile there was a line of people waiting to pay. I’d suggest training in customer service.

Decent selection of gear and it includes some decent lightweight options. Sales are good.
