Being here several times as just down my apartment. Normal the food quality is very standard Indian food. Always order medium spicy but today I feel seafood today with different type of curry so order prawn swaggallamay not correctly it’s a spinach curry base which I ordered before somewhere else at foodcourt but I have to say tonight the meal is disappointing. Firstly prawn isn’t fresh n more like shrimp. Secondly no flavor. I mean Indian food is supposed to be all the flavors but I have to say the curry tonight tasted like failed n zero flavor but just colored curry. Even the cracker they come with as free entree tasted strong flavor than the curry. All in all the meal is a disaster for what it’s n don’t mentioned the over price. When a restaurant taste worse than food court. What is point to pay high premium price. Highly recommend if u want good n standard n cheap Indian food. Just go to food court as sometimes restaurant could be worse than that. This is the case. One star is for the air con as summer is so hot. Otherwise I will give zero star. Lol
Delicioso is how I describe the Lamb Madras meal I just had. Friendly staff a great lunch time special a meal with an option of house ale or juice I opted for the juice. And clean premises with Indian statuettes and artwork adding to the ambience of the premises. I wouldn't hesitate coming here to eat when I'm in the city in the future.
A good taste of Indian Cousin. The quality is good but a bit expensive compared to other restaurants. The good thing they have lunch menu during the week which is 15.99. It comes with Rice, your choice and bread.
We enter the restaurant and I told the waitress that I have parked my car outside the Raviz parking just to make sure and she didn’t talk & shook her headshe meant to say it’s ok to park there. I asked her a table for 4 and she point it out to the table didn’t even talked. The water came when the food arrived. I asked for an extra spicy Bloody Mary but it wasn’t spicy at all. It just felt like plain tomato juice with Vodka. The water glass was dirty as shown in the picture. Food was ok yet not spicy as we ordered. The waitress wasn’t friendly at all. She came to the table once and all she said was “ Do you need anything else”. Not welcoming environment it felt like a depressed place. Never going back again.
Me and my friends decided to eat some good indian desi food. So we ordered from raviz. I don't know why sometimes their curry dishes are sooo tasty but sometimes their curry dishes are like watery and taste less and filled with color. Don't know why it happens like that. We have tried butter chicken, Goat biryani, naan and Chicken tikka, Beef vindaloo, half Chicken Tikka and half chicken malai kebab. Gravy dishes quantity should be increased. Staff was very friendly and helpful. But dine-in is bit expensive.Yes they serve halal ALWAYS confirm before placing the order Please DM or call them for any further enquiries. Thank you
Never choose to go this restaurant again..!!really bad quantity of food, just full of oil, bad customer service, no water served.. Charged $72 and spoil my dinner..!!
My partner and I visited this place on a late Friday night after drinks and it was Amazing. The service was phenomenal and the food was so good. The naan was nice and buttery Would highly recommend.
One of the best indian restaurants in New Zealand. This is an extremely affordable restaurant with amazing bursts of flavour. Raviz really brings out the Culture of India with their food. The service needs a bit of improvement but the food compensated for that nicely. The paintings on the walls are beautiful and they bring a nice homely ambience to the place. Honestly, the only negative reviews are from Indians. I highly suggest for everyone to have a taste!
I come here often just because it has the same name I do and the food is just incredible. Best butter chicken in Auckland and very very yum mango lassi. They also do not make the food sweet which is so good because what other restaurants do is they make the food very kiwi style. The atmosphere was great. we got a table for 2 in a spot that made us feel we were alone and private. byo was handy with a bottle shop nearby. The waiter was helpful when we asked for recommendations. Service was friendly and food was served promptly. The chicken dish was amazing, salad was fresh and crunchy, roti was warm and tasty. Such a delicious meal. Glad we found this restaurant on our first night in Auckland so we can go back again. Vegetarian options: There were quite a few veg options. The slow cooked lentils tasted unique and so delicious. i ordered the dish mild and it was perfect for my taste buds.
