A hidden gem!!! Gorgeous little restaurant in Papakura. Lovely authentic feeling decor and delicious sushi selection. Bento and ramen are amazing!!! Friendly service from the lovely couple who run the shop. Definitely recommend adding this one to your must visit list!!
We love this place! The reviews made us try their food - and definitely did not disappoint. Would recommend the chicken Katsu & Beef Donburi.The place is kept clean and the owner is friendly. Good price & great food. Ps. I had a bite of the beef donburi before taking the picture.
They changed noodle on a noodle soup. It is different as a good way. Very delicious and handy. The shop owner is very friendly. I recommend stopping by this shop while you are going to south bound.
Unsure if it was a once off, but decided to try somewhere different and this place seemed to have 'good reviews'. It was absolutely horrendous. I ordered Chicken Yaki Soba and got 6pieces of simple sushi from the display cabinet @ $1.50 per piece. I failed to check the price of the noodles but imagine my surprise when I went to pay at the counter and it was $30 for the noodles and 6 pieces of sushi. I paid and left because I thought 'must have good quality/fresh ingredients and worth the money'. Incorrect. The noodles were in the smallest bowl I would say slightly larger than a chip cupand the bowl was HALF full. The noodles were dry fried with what seems like only water, not even a drop of soy sauce - zero flavoring, and a couple of pieces of cabbage. The kicker....NO CHICKEN. Looking at previous posters, my food looked NOTHING like theyve shown. The pieces of sushi tasted far from fresh, potentially reused. I would NOT reccomend this place when there are a number of other japanese establishments in the area who are reasonably priced, have fresh ingredients and are a decent sized portion.
Great service and hospitality! Food was on point and presentation superior to most local restaurants and cafes. Very humble owner's who deserve respect and patronage. Lucky to have such a secret little sushi bar in Kura like this. Something you may find in the back streets of Japan any always go back to!
Delicious definately recommend. fresh , fast service , lovely service from the people who run the business. Ordered a teriyaki crispy bowl and got a great portion for lunch. Thank you
The quality of food here is great and very consistent. Donburi and sushi are always really well prepared. My favorite sushi & don place in the area. Although parking can be a little tricky at times it's worth the visit. Highly recommend their teriyaki chicken donburi.
