Stumbled across this gem on our travels, we knew we wanted to see this area but wasn't sure where to stay. Would 100% recommend this holiday park, so welcoming. The owners are really friendly and flexible. The site itself had everything you'll need. Be sure to bring your own cutlery into the communal space and a hairdryer if you need it. We loved how clean it was, the people that stay there are a great bunch and seem to go there quite a lot. The local pub leaves a lot to be desired, lol! Plenty for children to do, if you'd don't have children, it didn't feel like they were taking over the place but playing in the designated areas. All in all, a great place!
Should have been in the NZMCA camp but was desperate for some power to charge up our batteries so ended up here. Lovely host and amazing campground everything catered for. Ended up staying 2 nights.
Great place to stay was our first time using our caravan what a blast the owners were friendly and more than helpful highly recommended we will be back Walkability: Near to shops and great tracks to walk around
Stayed here for a night the owners are wonderful people facilities are well maintained and clean. Nice peaceful and central location. A wonderful stay.Service: 5/5

This place is cold however the building and the trees are very unspoiledLocation: 5/5
I needed a cabin for the night, just somewhere to sleep for four hours. It took me a while to find the cabin and it was very very basic. I was asked to bring a sleeping bag. There was a bunk, and a double bed. The toliet block smelt of urine. Value for money around $70 was not great. Can't really recommend.Rooms: 1/5
"More trouble than it's worth." To prepare for our whānau rail trail trip in April, we booked and paid for a cabin at Ranfurly Holiday Park in mid January. We were looking forward to our holiday... We set off from Middlemarch with great enthusiasm. After cycling 60km in the cold and rain, we arrived at Ranfurly Holiday Park. Curiously, we were asked to pay again for our booking as the camp sitter had no records of our payment. Then we were faced with having to pay for our showers which not the case at any other camping grounds we stayed along the way. I contacted management two days after our stay, after having had a chance to find records of our payment. I had a same day response promising prompt refund via internet banking. Two weeks later, no word. A follow up email rendered the response that refund would be arranged in the next two days. Two weeks later, no word. Another email requesting refund to be processed or we will have to seek further counsel. Finally, prompt response claiming that refund had been processed two days ago along with a terse "not happy with the threat" and signed "MANAGEMENT". If you're after a relaxing hassle free holiday, avoid at all costs. Noteworthy details: If you would like a 5 minute warm shower, don't forget a $2 coin!
Great little family campground, with wonderful facilities for the kids. Helpful owners squeezed us in just after Christmas- and we're pleased they did. We're self contained, but the facilities we used were spotless. Easy walking distance to town and the Railtrail is right next door. Can recommend.
Nice flat site. Mix of tents, campers and residents. Small kitchen and toilet block. 2$shower for five minutes. Facilities are clean and tidy. Easy walk to town
