I arrived here at 11.30 last night - room 66nnJust want to go to bed and sleep but a junky from a room close to mine was keep screaming and being loud and noisy.nI was feeling uncomfortable and scared but I heard from my room twice someone coming, knocking the door of the junky and tell that “we received complaint about you being noisy”.nThis morning when I asked the receptionist to change room and they said people around me checked out already, and I asked the manager what happen and to move me they said “nothing happened last night - there were no complaints apparently made”nThere was nothing on their record apparently.nAsked for a refund and they refused too.nClearly you can see from my face that I’m a person that didn’t sleep last night. I can’t have invented all of this.nnMy bad, I should have called the reception too and complaint too during the nite, but since I heard someone telling “we receive complaint” I thought it was someone from the hotel. At least twice.nComing up, knocking the door and telling to stop.nnApparently I’ve invented or dream about it.nI couldn’t believe it I walked out of the hotel.nAs they make me feel like I’ve invented things, I came back in a I was going to cancel my reservation but they won’t let me do it as there is a cancellation fee .nnVery bad customer service and lack of care.nWon’t be back here anymore after this trip. Absolutely disgusted by the way they treat me.
Very disappointed in this hotel for providing a sub-standard room suitable for footy trips only.nI expected better from such a well known chain. I will not be recommending this accommodation to anyone. Paint chipping off the walls and door, extremely dated furnishings and upgrades only available for an extra $60.
Old pub style rooms in a large old nice building a stones throw from the Murray. Fixtures are aging, some switches and fittings don't work. Comfortable and about standard for a 3 star Aussie hotel room of this price, defo don't see 4 stars here. No drinking water provided in rooms, but the tap water is meant to be ok. Carpets in the halls look like they have been ripped up for cleaning and re-placed without care regarding the old style patterns which is a little nauseating but a minor quip. Parking is not secure - on street or in an open park across the road. The surrounding area is teeming with nightlife with lots of little pubs and cafes full to bursting later at night - great location if that is your cuppa tea.
We paid $220 for one night for a hot, wood rotted, water damaged shoe box. The room was tiny, the fridge was kept inside a cupboard that was HOT and causing the fridge to work overtime and couldn’t cool anything!nnThere was bubbled paint from water leaks everywhere, badly watered rotted timber around the window frame that you could see daylight out of, skirting boards falling off walls, the spa had large sticky tape residue throughout and just looked dirty. The aircon barely kept the very tiny room cool and we were hot and uncomfortable the whole time. There were 5-6 available tv stations, all either sbs, abc or radio stations.nnI wasn’t expecting the Taj Mahal by any means, the buildings very old and full of history and that I can respect, however the quality of the rooms was nothing we could have mentally prepared for. The lack of upkeep was astonishing, and overall very disappointing.nnWe paid for late check out, however left at 9am, because of how uncomfortable the room was to be in.nnUnfortunately I don’t think we’d stay again, or recommend to family and friends because as much as I was looking forward to staying here, I was deeply disappointed.
Very tired, dated and odd room layout. Tv in bedroom almost on the ceiling, it is so high up on the wall. Hairs in bath. Tv remote control has bits of food and grease stains all over it.nnUpdate: We requested a change in room and whilst the new room was a much nicer layout and had a newer feel, it was still not up to the standard I would expect for the cost per night.nnCleanliness of the room was still an issue. Cobwebs all over the bathroom, no vacuuming behind doors. Noise is also a major issue throughout the hotel.nnThe doors to the rooms are not well sealed so all noise from the corridoor is heard very clearly.
