We loved our three nights on the riverside camp site number 87 top site number.nPark was clean and tidy.nnFacilitiesnPools both looked invitingnBathroomsnAll looked clean and well maintained.nCamp kitchen very clean ad well equipped.nnLaundrynOnly takes credit cards.nWashers goodnDryer $5 for 32 mins.nOnly a small washing line on building that only gets some morning sun, there is loads of room behind the laundry, be good if they added a few more lines.nEspecially when the inevitable they have is so close to sites, when we stayed a very heavy smoker was camped adjacent to the building, the smoke entered the bathroom, laundry and washing line. Many people using that facility made comments to each other. maybe discovery can make those closer sote smoke free sitesnnWide internal roads allowing easy access to camping spots.nStaff were lovely and accommodating.n.nThis is out of the parks control, yet I feel if you want river front you need to know. We might be more sensitive as we come from a rural township that is very quite at night.nIs the noise from the hotted up cars doing laps along the Murray all nightnWednesday nught 6pm to 1.45amnThursday night 7pm to 2amnFriday night 4pm until after 4am..nApparently this is a common nightly occurrence.
The location is great. We had a powered caravan site right on the riverbank with our little dog. Unfortunately, the grass needed a mow, and was riddled with sticky-bindi-spikey things that stuck to everything, including the dog! The facilities were clean and it was very relaxing to wake up and retire every night to the sound of the river. The staff were friendly, but I probably wouldn't stay here again due to the spikey things everywhere in the grass. If you had kids who liked to run around bare-foot, you may not like it.
We decided it was time to stop driving pretty late on a Sunday, and were getting worried we weren’t going to find anywhere with facilities to park up with our caravan. I called the Discovery Parks number with a mind to complaining that there seemed no way to book a site after hours which seems ridiculous with today’s technology, but got an actual person ! connected to a park actually in Mildura ! who said there were plenty of free sites and to just stay and sort the paperwork in the morning. Exactly what we needed! The facilities were pretty modern and very clean, showers good and the site quiet and easy to access. Will definitely be aiming for this place again on future trips :
Saw the mixed reviews after booking and were a bit unsure of what we would get. Although our site was in full sun there was shade around and standard size sites. Amenities were clean and showers nice and hot with adequate water pressure. There was some road noise but no worse than other places - maybe we were lucky with the timing of our trip? There were some grassy spots to sit by the river and you could walk along the riverside a bit.
We absolutely loved our stay! The location was just right—close to everything but still quiet and peaceful. The staff were so welcoming and friendly, which really made us feel at home. The cabin was spotless, well set up, and had such a warm, homely feel. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind. We couldn’t have asked for better and will definitely be back again!
