Disgraceful and completely unacceptable service. We reported at 10:10 pm that the toilet flush was not working — a basic, non-negotiable amenity. The staff member was rude, dismissive, and showed no concern whatsoever. We were bluntly told nothing could be done and to wait until 7:00 am for reception to open. Expecting guests to go overnight without a functioning toilet reflects a shocking lack of responsibility, professionalism, and basic hospitality standards. I would strongly advise others to think twice before staying here.
Like others say, the place is old, walls paper thin. Nothing to write home about. Bed is uncomfortable. I slept quite poorly all 3 nights. Upon arrival my room had loose hairs, and the fridge reaked of Indian food. It wasn't awful, but wasn't spotless either. Location is all right, next to shops and the Murray River. As pictured, my room had a spa bath in the lounge. Which was okay. I'm mainly doing this review to share the photos I took, for others to get an idea what to expect. Some rooms were much smaller
I have recently stayed at the Mecure in Mildura for an extended period of time. My initial thoughts its very dated and I questioned if I had made the right decesion with my stay. If you want brand new and modern then it is not the hotel for you. But if you want a place with character, a homely feel that's a bit dated then this is the place, ample easy on street parking, a great location, easy walking access to the town. The staff are friendly and many most of them go out of their way to remember their guests names /room number. The restaurant staff are amazing and almost predict you needs. That fact that locals do bulk bookings to the restaurant each week shows the quality of food and evidences the amazing service. I'm looking forward to my next few stays with them. I made the right decesion.
Noisy! Fire alarms went off about 3 times during the evening no fire either. Hallways are noisy so you hear people coming and going throughout the night. So didn’t get good night sleep.nThe bathroom was basic and dated. Not what I expected from Mercure. Disappointed with the offering given the price.
2nd time staying here - room was a co joining room with doors to next room. You could hear the TV from the next room quite loudly. Room was clean & tidy and adequate for pricing.
