My blood test was the quickest one I’ve ever had! I am quite difficult when it comes to getting blood drawn but the phlebotomist was so understanding.
The person collecting my blood today had a runny nose and was coughing phlegm. She sounded like she should have not come into work.
The lady who took my blood was super friendly and my veins are actually hard to get but she did it in her first attempt and it was done correctly because the vials filled up instantly. Definitely one of the best place to get your blood taken on a weekend.
Sue Edwards is very skillful with the needle. As my veins are not always visible on the surface skin, I always face issues with drawing blood for tests. Sue was quick and efficient and I did not feel any pain at all and she got it right just once!
Special thanks to Ashley who looked after me so well yesterday. She was very kind and her lovely, happy disposition made the whole experience a lot easier. Jane Averill
You could be forgiven for thinking that one QML branch is the same as any other, because let's face it, having a blood test or other is not necessarily something we look forward to. We've been to this particular QML 3 times now however, and it's actually at least a 30 minute drive from our house, with many others on the way that we could have visited. But our first visit was so special that we wouldn't even think of going elsewhere. On our most recent visit the ladies were incredibly patient with out little girl who had a fear-induced meltdown, and in the end their calmness and experience helped us all get through it without any issues. Thank you sincerely!!!
Very frustrating.. the two times I have been there! The woman behind the counter will spend 10+ minutes having personal chat with people about herself before even acknowledging you’re still waiting to be served. Second time it happened I had to walk out. Please recognise that people are coming “before work” and “during work lunch break” and are limited with time, no one wants to be left waiting or hear you talk about yourself... Very frustrating
really quick service compared to other qml's I have been to. I found the lady at the front desk a little condescending however. went up to say I had to drop off a sample. got this awkward stare, and she eventually asked if I had a form. just be friendly and say, "great do you have your form?" uhhh.
I specifically drive out of my way when needing blood taken to have it done at QML New Farm. As someone who is extremely anxious about the whole process Sue is exceptional at making it painless and comforting as possible and I simply will not have it done by anyone else.
Poor signage and very long waits. I opened the door to speak to the staff to let them know I was dropping off a sample but was immediately shut down and told "please line up and wait outside!" So I waited 45 minutes. When i finally got let in; she told me that I didn't even need to line up because I was dropping off a sample....
