Prouds The Jewellers

I went there looking for a gift for mum. I had a look around first, and my eyes were caught by a dress ring and I asked to have a look at it for myself. And the lady behind the counter gave me an ugly look and said very impatiently: just look for something for your mum! Well, my conclusion thus was: they don’t wanna do any business with anyone at all! It doesn’t matter what I’m really looking for, they’re there to serve customers, not telling customers off! And their customer service is pathetic in general! My advice for anyone wanting to go there making purchases, go to Eastland Prouds instead, the ladies there are way nicer!

I approached Prouds in Westfield Doncaster with good intentions of purchasing a ring for my self and getting a ring repaired for my partner. The purchase of the ring went smoothly, I was told my new ring would take around 3-4 weeks to be resized. When I returned I dropped of my partners ring for repair, which was missing 1 of 3 pearls on the bezel, I picked up my ring went home and found a large machine or tooling gouge on the face of the ring. I went back and asked for this to be polished out which took 1 week. The ring was then given back to me with the diamond and silver mounting missing, at this point very annoyed I went back to Prouds and was told they would order a new one and they should never have had it resized that amount. Now I waited the 4 to 5 weeks for my new ring to arrive and my partners ring to be repaired, in that time I never received any notification of the rings arriving and had to phone them on 3 occasions, the 3rd of which being 6 weeks after them ordering me a new ring, I was told the rings were in store and had been for 4 weeks. I picked up the rings and the lady I dealt with mentioned she had tried calling me to which I argued the point she had not called me and it took me 3 calls to receive confirmation the rings were in store, she was insistent on arguing and I left the store fuming and without a box for my new ring with the intentions of never going back but when I gave my partner her newly repaired ring she noticed 1 of the 3 pearls was odd in size and color. I do not really wish to go back to have this repaired after such dealings and wasted time but I felt I should review and make such poor conduct known.
