Starting as small manufacturing firm in Melbourne in 1979 – Hildan Jewellers decided to retail their beautiful jewellery first with a shop in dandenong then moving to Westfield Shopping town Doncaster. We used Hildan Jewellers to design our wedding/engagement rings. My husband spent a lot of time working with them to get the design just right. They went above and beyond to help us!. I love my rings and all the other jewellery I have from there. We couldn't speak highly enough of them!

Hidden Gem Hildan's came highly recommended by a friend so I checked it out while shopping for an engagement ring. It's located in the tower at Westfield Doncaster and is just a little shop, not as flashy as the other jewellers inside the shopping centre but their prices were far more competitive than any other jeweller I saw and I checked heaps out. The owner Chris was very friendly and helpful. My fiancée kept changing her mind about what she wanted and he was happy to cater for that. I also gave him very short notice (less than a month) to get the ring made and he stuck to his promise and delivered it on time. Most importantly she loved the ring so all in all a very positive experience for me. Thanks Chris!

As a business owner myself, i found it necessary to write a review about the very bad service i received here! My first dealing with the store was with the son of the owner, who was very lovely and inviting. Based on this first experience i made the order of the piece of jewellery and was told it would be ready in a week. A week later i went in and was told by the owner that it will not be ready for another week. which i found a bit unprofessional but i overlooked this as i had given myself a bit of extra time to when i needed the jewellery. On pick up, i took one look at what i had ordered and found they had set the diamond differently to what i had ordered. by this time i needed it for a birthday in two days. The owner who served me was so rude and at first even insisted that is what i had ordered. After getting so mad and raising my voice to show me my order. i saw for myself that indeed what was on the order was not done. The man then said to me it is done now. he then went on to say this price is too cheap anyway. what do you want! and kept throwing ridiculous prices at me. I then took the jewellery as it was and said i will come back and you can fix it later. When i went back and asked for a valuation he said it would cost a ridiculous amount. This is just a joke of a place and i laughed at him as i have never paid for a valuation in my life and i have bought many items of jewellery. Overall this is just a small part of my frustration about this place. I do not recommend and do not wish anyone to deal with this man. He is very rude and not a pleasant experience when buying jewellery.
