The Project is a great one stop shop for AFL umpire gear. If you don’t have the compression socks, you need them in your life - amazing. Also great service and fast delivery.
It would be good if the size chart/guide included lengths of tops and pants too. For the very slim or thicker umpires out there it is important so we can balance width fit verses length. Also, umpire shorts, put the back pocket on the outside please. Otherwise, good quality gear and no issues with service.
No stars! The service in 2023 has been atrocious, down from extremely poor in 2022. Project is the monopoly provider of umpire uniforms and appears to have bitten off more than it can chew. Mail order screw ups, lack of stock of key items i.e. medium sized non-compression umpire socks and in the first half of the footy season at least, agressive responses to reasonably stated customer concerns. If umpires had a choice of clothing suppliers, Project wouldn’t be their first choice. Project’s 1 August 2023 email campaign to generate positive reviews “leave a kind review on our Google page” in exchange for free shipping is a desperate marketing ploy that corrupts & devalues the star rating system: it also explains the recent flurry of positive reviews. Complaint to Google to follow!
Have always had great dealings with Project. Shipping can sometimes be a little slow, but always arrive well packaged and in good condition.
Shame zero stars can’t be given. They consistently attempt to sell things out of stock then fail to tell you until you chase them up on it. And this is 2 WEEKS after the order was made and paid for!!! Yes I had to chase them up. Avoid this shed of jerkoffs at all costs!
Sizing guide does not accurately represent size of clothing. On their online store I measured a size 3xs in cycling apparel normally a size small. Ended up ordering size xs gear on sale and when they arrived I couldn't get them over my knees. I contacted them via email and they replied promptly at first however, my follow up emails went unanswered. When I called and I was informed that I couldn't exchange them for bigger sizes as they were available and they would not be getting more stock and what's more was that I won't be able to get a refund l because they were on sale. Ended up choosing different apparel to the same value, 100 dollars wasted on clothing I didn't want or need. The final straw was their 'policy' is that you pay for the postage to return the items and to get the exchanged clothes back - another 25 dollars wasted. I will never go back no matter the sale deal, just not worth the stuff around and the money. Many representative gear is made by them so if you have go here to make sure to buy at least 2 or 3 sizes bigger then the sizing guide. To be clear I am not the person to write such reviews based on bad service but this left me with such a bad taste in my mouth I felt I had no other option. Honestly wish I could give zero stars
I have had two orders with this company and found all staff, especially Nancy and Louisa very helpful. I ordered an item and it did not fit my son days prior to competition. They sorted it all out for me and we received the item before the competition started, going above and beyond what most other companies would do. This company is very easy to deal with.
Rude ludy on phone. No communication at all from them except standard invoice. Daughters state Vic Jumper for Nationals still not delivered 6 weeks after ordering and 4 weeks post event. Lady blamed covid but looks like past reviews indicate business issue stems back 4 years ago well before covid! She argued that I requested it be sent to event even though I had paid the excessive postage - but it was the shorts which formed the essential uniform that I requested be sent which still hadn't been sent out 1 week out from event amazingly, it turned up in post 2 days after phone call!!!! and my daughter could have been disqualified for not having correct uniform. Husband called on Thursday and a male told him someone will call him back and he is still waiting for that call Sat night. Love, all business have suffered during covid but it is the important customer service skills that most business have and yours lacks which puts them far above yours.
Our uniforms were great quality and fit and everything arrived in perfect condition and a timely manner
You wait a long time for your product to be made and sent but it is good quality and lasts well
