Beautiful food from interesting menu, loved the separate offal section. Buzzy ambience, bare boards, windows but able to chat comfortably. Happy service and Interesting wines by the glass - did not look at bottle section. Looking forward to a return visit. Wish we had this restaurant in Sydney.

Love that you can usually get a spot, small wait time.  The food is really good.

I’d recommend the crab pasta and steaks.  The salads are alright but nothing to write home about.  Desserts are yum.

Service is good, although they do get distracted often.

We decided to give this restaurant a try after we read through the menu online. It looked great until we arrived to a different menu, with not one choice we had wanted on there. After querying the waitress, she informed me the website was just a sample menu and they are too busy to update it when it changes. Nothing else on the current menu stood out to us, so we had a drink and decided to go elsewhere. As soon as the waitress found out we were leaving (because we wanted steak and oysters like they advertised on the website) her attitude towards us changed, even going so far as to tell me even if we did manage to find the food elsewhere, it would not be very good (?) Thanks waitress who isn't a chef. There was no reason to take it personally and be impolite; when the fact was that they simply did not actually offer what they advertised. We may return when dishes that we actually want are on the menu.

and still have not changed it!

I've been a couple of times now and both times have been outstanding. I opted for something a little simpler with Steak Frites on my second visit, and was happy to receive a deliciously generous plate of medium rare steak and perfectly cooked fries. I followed up my dinner with the peanut, salted caramel and chocolate desert option which was a total winner. We had international guests with us on our visit and they loved it.

Great formal and casual dining.
Walk ins accepted on ground floor. Booking rewired upstairs for formal dining.
Great wine list, great food and always friendly staff.
